Really? The only Yankee players I saw on that show were Derek Jeter, Andy Pettite, and Jorge Posada. CC Sabathia was nowhere to be seen. You do realize that as big as CC Sabathia is if he was on the show I would have seen him.

Seriously kid, why do you have an avatar like that? Why not the Yankees logo or a picture of the class act that you have on the Yankees, Derek Jeter?

I'll pass on going to the parade but you go and wear your banana costume and have a really good time. Congratulations on your 27th World Series Championship but watch out King Kong resides in New York and I hear he loves to eat bananas.

its too bad only a couple teams can afford to go out and purchase two or three championships every decade, else the game would be a lot less boring.

I guess CC missed the taping of the Letterman show because he had to see LeBron James at the Cavs/Knicks game , where he supposedly told LeBron , " Winning in New York is the greatest feeling in the world because New York is the greatest city in the world " . Say goodbye to LeBron soon . Sorry things are not working out in Cleveland ,with the Indians , unemployment ,foreclosures , mass murders ,maybe the Browns can...well, forget it .

what on earth can the Knicks offer Lebron? Especially with the cap space they are leaving isn't going to be as high as thery had hoped, which means if they can lure Lebron, then that is all they can get. Lebron had been through that his first 3 seasons in the NBA. The Cavs can offer him championship contenders every single year, Hmmmm who to choose?

u kno sabathia cant say that winning in new york is the greatest bc he hasnt won a world series anywhere else. if he had won the world series back in...lets say...07(instead of bein a total choke for us), then won it in new york this year, then yea he would entitled to make that comparison. but he hasnt and he cant say that winnin in new york is any better than anyplace else. so to me, by him sayin that, he just makes himself looks stupid.

I respect the Yankees and the winning tradition that organization has built but it is very hard to respect a "smack talking" banana. Are you like 8 or 9 years old? Seriously you need to grow up.

Since you bring up mass murders though, "Son of Sam" resided in New York. Have a nice evening and sleep well tonight.

I can't believe that King Kong hasn't eaten you yet!?

With winning comes the people who try to ride the coattails of success of the winners in an effort to feel better about themselves. Isn't that right, banana boy?

Heck, you're probably the same guy who came here two years ago crying and moaning that Sabathia was "fat and unprofessional" after he celebrated striking out one of the Yankees. But now that he's winning, he's all right by you...as long as you can celebrate and pretend you're a part of it, I suppose.

But hey, if bragging about something as simple as rooting for a World Series winner gets you through the day, more power to ya, buddy. When the Indians win it all, that'll be one happy day of my life, but there are other milestones I'm looking forward to more, so pardon me if I don't get offended that you're happy the Yankees won with players they bought away from the Indians.

Wow?! The Yankees win another title, their first in a little while, and all of their "fair weather" fans come out of the wood work. Amazing.

Can you spell "fair weather" or obnoxious?

Then you get "Yankee fan".

You won another title so just stay on your Yankee board and have fun. Besides no one buys a title like the Yankees do and everyone including you knows it.

In the 1950's and 1960's you bought players from your farm club, the Kansas City A's, and in the 1970's you bought players from the Indians, and now you just buy players from anywhere. You bought Sabathia and Burnett to get a pitching staff.

I'll tell you what I can't stand and that is the fact that this Yankee team except for A-Rod was hard to hate. I still like Sabathia and always will. Another thing that I don't like is the fact that most Yamkee fans are braggers and don't have the class that their captain, Derek Jeter, has.

"In the 1950's and 1960's "you" bought players from your farm club, the Kansas City A's"

Please explain.

BTW..I do not have that kind of money to buy players. :)

As the legendary Yankee Yogi Berra used to say, "You can look it up".

Look up on baseballreference.com and look at transactions from those years 1955-1964 and see how many times the Yankees used older players and cash to get the A's younger players like Roger Maris and others to help their team to a championship. Players like Hank Bauer were traded with money for younger players. I remember Ralph Terry, Johnny Blanchard, and Bob Grim changing hands.

All you have to do is look at the Cleveland Indian teams from the 1970's and look at how Graig Nettles, Richard Tidrow, and Chris Chambliss were some of the cornerstones of the Yankee World Series teams. I know you will say that the Yankees management "fleeced" the Tribe management which is true but what sticks Tribe fans in the ribs is that it was Gabe Paul who was the Yankees GM at the time. If I am not mistaken Phil Seghi was the Tribe's GM.

What I really want to know is why can't "Yankee Fans" act more like Derek Jeter? Derek Jeter is everything that is right about baseball right now. Jeter has done everything the right way and has EARNED all that he has accomplished where A-Rod has had a little bit of a different road than Derek.

I have been a baseball fan all of my life and "Yankee" fans can be the most obnoxious people I have ever been arround. Back in the 1980's I took my nephew to a Sunday afternoon game between the Tribe and Yankees and the Tribe was playing well at the time but ended up losing to the Yankees 14-0 that day. We sat in the 3rd base box seats with a bunch of Yankee fans who came in on an excursion. Those Yankee fans were the most obnoxious fans I have ever encountered. My nephew was all of about 7 or 8 years old and just loved his team, the Cleveland Indians. Tom Candiotti hurt his elbow in the very 1st inning and the Tribe had to bring in a long relief pitcher named Rich "Not" Yett and of course he got lit up. The Yankee fans were terrible and of course had to taunt my nephew.

The only saving grace was a short small Yankee fan about 70 years old and he talked to my nephew a lot that day. He also talked to me quite a bit that day and we talked about baseball and even though we lost 14-0 that day I had a great time. Why can't Yankee fans act more like that man did than be the smack talking wise guys they almost always are?

Does this explain anything to you at all "SteadyEddie"?

You are probably some 10-11 year old kid having fun with Cleveland Indian fans on a message board. I don't know why I waste my time trying to explain to some of you who just have to come on a Tribe message board and trash talk us about CC Sabathia and our inability to resign our players and shove your 27 World Series Championships in our face. This a classless thing to do but you not going to lose any sleep over it either.

I have nothing really against the Yankees except the fans. I always wonder how your parents brought you up. My Dad passed away in 2004 at the age of 91 years old and always taught me to treat people the way I want to be treated. He is the finest man I have ever known and like I said I know that I am wasting my time with you because you will just trash talk me into oblivion.

Derek Jeter is one of the finest examples of what is great about the Yankees tradition and baseball so why don't you fans act more like him and just celebrate your 27th World Series Championship? Just celebrate with your family and other fans and try and respect other fans at least a little. Have a nice day.

You wanted "evidence" or something to prove what I say about the Yankees using other teams as farm clubs so here are a couple. BTW I was talking about the Yankees not you having the money but you already knew that didn't you?

In I believe May of 1959 the Yankees trade a pitcher named Johhny Kucks, a young infielder named Jerry Lumpe, amd someone named Tom Sturdivant for pitcher Ralph Terry and utility man Hector Lopez. Ralph Terry had some great years for the Yankees and Lopez was a very usefull utility man for the Yankees. Kucks never did much for the A's and I never heard of Sturdivant. Jerry Lumpe was a very sevicable infielder for the A's and the Tigers for a few years but hardly an All-Star. BTW there was of course money in the deal.

In the winter of 1960 the Yankees traded some older players like pitcher named Don Larsen, outfielder Hank Bauer, outfielder-infielder Norm Siebern, and the "great" Marv Throneberry to the Kansas City A's for Joe DeMaestri, Kent Hadley, and outfielder Roger Maris. Larsen pitched a perfect game in the World Series in 1956 but was way passed his prime as was Hank Bauer. Siebern was a pretty decent player but Throneberry was a joke because he ended up more servicable in beer comercials than baseball. I think DeMaestri played but I never heard of Hadley but Roger Maris was to be one of the M & M boys from the 1960's Yankee teams. You remember Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris don't you? Maris was perfect for Yankee stadium with that short porch in right field. I hate that trade because Roger Maris came up with my favorite team the Cleveland Indians. There is a little baseball history for you StedyEddie. Have a nice day.
