If the Phillies don't start one of these 2 in gm 4,I think the FAT lady will start excercising her vocal chords!

She's warmin up! Man,I thought Elmer Fudd was smarter than what he's showed tonight. If it was any other team except the Skanks or BoSox it wouldn't be so disheartning!

In a bit of defense of Fudd,I just learned that Moyer was left off the post season roster, but he still could and should have pitched Cliff.I would rather have taken the shot at being 2-2 as down 3-1!If per chance Cliff wins tomorrow to make it 3-2 then what?If it then happens to get to 3-3 Ciff won't be able to help them again unless he has a big S on his undershirt!Elmer is managing like someone that was just fired

The problem is Cliff never has pitched in 3 days rest. It would have been a huge chance and Joe Blanton pitched well, he didn't get the decision, Brad Lidge did and boy was he awful.

I thought he looked good with the first couple of batters but damon wore him down. After that things went crazy.

yes he did, very frustrating to see. After that weird play on Damon, Ruiz never went to speak with Lidge I don't think and that was a mistake.

I knew when damon got on he was in trouble and when that freak play happened i knew it was over.I was thinking he'd throw a wild pitch in the dirt and damon would score but he was so scared that all he could do was throw his sh*t fastball.Frankly,i'd have yanked him out when damon reached third. It was terrible to watch.

Had Madson worked yet? I don't remember, he could have been warming up, but yeah he just threw 4 straight balls to Teixeira too.

Charlie screwed up.He probably didn't want to destroy lidge.Well, there goes AJ on 3 days rest.I was hoping this 3 day pitching would blow up in their faces. Lee pitches better with a lead.I'm still hoping to see a game seven....lol

yeah me too, but I don't favor the Phillies in a matchup between CC and Cole Hamels. I just don't.

I can live with that matchup.I hate Pettitte. The guy reminds me of the bulldog the way he goes about his business.Philly will have to pound the ball to win any of these matchups but that's what they do best and the yanks have the pitchers.Good pitching will beat any offense.I'm just hoping this pitching on short rest and some nerves screw them up and give the phillies a little bit more of an edge at the plate.Plus i'm burning lucky candles around the tv....lol

Well, the fat lady is warming up but it's getting hot and she's losing weight.Charlie is doing the right thing with his pitchers because he's old school.Girardi is sabermertics man and he's pushing the odds with short rest for his pitchers.CC can do it but burnett couldn't get past 6 outs.I'll bet girardi is sweating bullets when he looks at pettitte's record after 3 days rest and the way he pitched in his last outing.I can see a game seven coming and boy will that be a huge hyped game. It's never over until it's over.

Girardi is a maroon.

Not exactly the posterboy for sabermetrics.

In fact, he's more or less an embarrassment to those who believe in sabermetrics.

Well,i question the decision going on 3 days rest.It seems like a good decision but i believe the record is something like 12-36 for pitchers going on 3 days rest in the playoffs. That's what i meant by him bucking the odds.I got a kick out of moyer being mentioned in the thread.First thing i thought was he'd look right at home in our current rotation. He might even be our ace...lol If he wasn't a god in philly i believe charlie would have gotten rid of him a while ago but that just IMO.
