Thank God it's almost basketball season! Shaq's in town, and the Cavs won their first pre-season game, so let's get this party started.

Man, this team is gonna be fun to watch. As long as they keep Larry David out of the courtside seats, I think Shaq will be great.

I really like how the Cavs handled the whole West situation last year. I loved how they just told him to take as much time was needed and get his stuff figured out.
I hate how the average fan thinks he is just a troubled "gangsta" kind of dude.
Being bipolar is one of the craziest disorders you could have and unless you have someone you know or directly affecting you, you rarely know about how it effects your everyday life and when you deal with episodes which i couldn't begin to fathom. Well i really hope basketball is an outlet for him and it helps him throughout is life.
Hopefully he will be posing for pictures with Lebron and co. all season.

I know someone very well and dear to me, so I agree with what you said. I hope he can get things figured out.

I got an 11-game plan and will be at the preseason game against the Olympiacos and the likes of Von Wafer, Josh Childress, and Linas Kleiza on Monday... then I'll be at opening night against Boston on October 27. Safe to say, I'm absolutely pumped for this season... and hope I get a raise so I can buy a full season next year!

Gooooooo Cavs!

I have a sneaking suspicion that this team is gonna be "prettay, prettay, prettay good".

My father is bipolar, and I am borderline, so I know first hand what he is going through. It's a wild rollercoaster ride, with lots of ups & downs. Most people that have no tie to the disease have a hard time understanding why people with it act the way they do, and some people don't seem to believe it's an actual disease at all...Hopefully he gets back on his medication, and can eventually get back on the court.

It sounds like he quit taking his medication over the Summer, so hopefully if they can get him back on them, he can work things out.

I usually go to a handfull of games. I get my tickets off of Stub Hub & Flash Seats. I've never looked into any of the plans. Perhaps I'll take a looksee.

yeah and I bet you it was because he was doing great. I have been through this with some loved family members. Nothing like this, but close enough. I do hope he can get things in order and I like the fact the Cavs are giving him that time. It's the right thing to do.

I haven't been to a game since I think 2004-2005 season. They got blown out by Phoenix in April and I ran into some icy conditions, so much so that it took me 2 1/2 hours to get home when I live an hour away. I took that as a sign...LOL

I know this will sound like I'm 12 years old, but I always make sure I go to the LeBron bobblehead game. It's really the only bobblehead I collect. I have all 6, so I'll have to get number 7 this season. The other games are usually just random. I usually get Loudville seats since they are still pretty cheap, but I'll ocassionlly fork out the big bucks for decent seats. I also try to hit at least one play-off. I made it to two last season.

I bet going to a play-off game is nuts. I wouldn't mind going to one game in the play-offs.

When I went two years ago, you couldn't hear anything but the crowd for the entire game. I couldn't hear any of the silly sound effects, the music, or the announcer. My ears were seriously ringing when I left the arena. It was electric. Last season was a bit more subdued, but still a ton of fun.

I haven't been to a Cavs game in years. Mark Price was the starting point guard, Lenny Wilkens was the coach, and the Cavs were still at the Coliseum at Richfield.

I am an old fart and I just can't get into the NBA like I used to. The players act like they have zero amount of brains and the tatoos all these players have drive me nuts. I watch games on TV but I just really don't know what it is but I just don't like the NBA like I used to.

I used to love going to the Coliseum and watching the Cavs with my wife before we had kids. I think she had a crush on Mark Price, lol. I remember going at least once a year for about 3-4 years with my wife. We would have had about a 3 hour drive from where we live just outside of Glandorf, Ohio.

Thank God we have the Cavs with the way the Browns have started! The Browns really stink again and of course with the addition of Shaq, Parker, and Moon the Cavs have a real chance to win it all! I like what JJ Hickson is doing in the preseason this year and that kid is a player to keep your eyes on if you are a Cavs fan. Hickson could very well be a player that could really have a breakout season. I think this kid is way better than Varejao or Illgauskas on both the offensive and defensive side of basketball. I think Hickson could break into the regular rotation this year. With Lebron James, Mo Williams, Delonte West, Shaq, Z, Varejao, Moon, Gibson, Parker, and throw Hickson into the mix the Cavs season could really be something special! Go Cavs!!!!!

Mark Price is probably my all time favorite player (in any sport).

The players act & look the same in the NFL, if not worse. It's a different time.

JJ is having a phenomenal pre-season. Let's hope that carries over into the regular season. I don't see him taking Andy's spot any time soon, though.

I hope they give Coby Karl a shot. I like what little I've seen of him.

Why not this season?

Any news on the fantasy front?

Steven is interested in doing it again, I just have to talk to him about it again, I'll drop him a line. He asked me to come up with 2 more names that would be interested, but I don't know who's not joining this season.
