We are very lucky that dogs chose us to be their best friends.

We are not worthy.

Sounds like the conjecture of a truly despised person who is always wondering why people cannot tolerate him.
In the future though, please speak for yourself only.
Only your animals feel sorry for you and can barely tolerate you.
Regarding the rest of us- Our pets are quite pleased to be around us and they show it on a daily basis.
Your lack of canine and feline knowledge is only eclipsed by your lack of baseball knowledge.
No wonder your pets are suicidal and act like they feel sorry for you.
