Tonight, Scully asked the gulls to fly over early just to end the game and take the 8-0 loss.......

They're taught to wait 3 innings after all the Doggy fans leave.

Subtle noises change when people are about to leave the park...bags rustling....maybe the smells change over the course of a game....

make no mistake, birds know when people eating outdoors are about to leave

That Hawk they hired tells 'em "last call."

Those plump seagulls start to look more attractive...

I bet it also has to do with the concessions vendors cleaning up. I think they shut down sales a little before the game is over, so there is probably a lot of staff taking out trash bags and cleaning.

Birds are very smart animals. In New Orleans, around Cafe DuMonde pigeons know exactly when people are about to leave, or are eating Bignets and they swoop in for the powdered sugar; like crack addicts almost. When I lived in India pigeons nested on my AC unit. I tried everything other than electricty to get rid of them. Finally I gave up.

Darwinism in action. 10 years of games at set times, the seagulls have adapted and learned whats up. kinda like how birds know when and where to fly south for the winter. its pretty wild, but thats just mother nature for ya

I thought birds went to sleep when the Sun goes down.
Our Gulls are like moths to the flame of ballpark lights.
I wonder how they find the peanuts after the lights go off.

the lights dont go off for a few hours after the game ends. they keep them on for the cleaning crews. thats when the birds go to work

They seem to covey-up like quail around the first base dugout, for some reason.
Must be the concentration of garbage there.

another theory, maybe the FO has them on the payroll to help with cleanup. i mean, do we really know where Mr. Baers "rainy day" fund is actually going? ;)

I don't know about the rest of the time, but when Casilla comes him and somebody on the other team hits it out of the yard, they know it's time to get in position, because then the Giants go down 1-2-3 in the bottom and it's feeding time!!! Lol! No it's like a dog that knows when it's owner is coming home after a certain amount of time, every day that they would be at work.
