I also don't understand, call me slow, why Melon Head decided to only use Hector as Timmy's personal catcher once? Why not try the experiment again? The results were decent has Timmy managed to settle down after his 1st inning debacle.

It makes perfect sense. He needs rest, you give him rest. You can't get caught up on who you happen to be facing.

Posey is a better catcher than Sanchez, so playing Posey is at C is the right call on days when he's not resting.

With Zito pitching we will need 9 Poseys in the lineup. I think it's going to be one of those games Bochy basically concedes from time to time.

I think you're vastly overestimating the impact 1 player can have in a single game. Having Posey healthy for a full season and having Zito at his best (even if it's not very good) is much more important than Buster getting 4 ABs.

I was thinking along those lines as well. If it is what gets Tim going again I say all for it. I really don't think that is Tim's core issue, but if it works it works.
