Would you consider Pedro Feliz as a Free Agent pick up? MLBTRADERUMORS is saying that the Phillies might buy out his final year of his contract after the World Series. It is interesting because he is still a very good defender, just never really came around with the bat. He has hit fewer HRs in a hitters park than he did in SF, but his OBP did get a little better, eventhough it is still bad (just over .300).

I think he would probably get 3 million or so on the free agent market. I guess the question would be if he would be a better asset than Ishikawa, Garko or Uribe.

It was just a thought that crossed my mind today. I think I would rather give Garko and / or Ishikawa the chance at lower salaries. Did you know Pedro Feliz is 35 years old? Man, time flies...

Under no circumstances would I want a 36 year old Pedro Feliz on this team. He couldn't even slug .386 in Philadelphia. That should be enough to issue a resounding NO.

Absolutely not! If you go on the Phillies message boards, they constantly complain that he's a virtual guaranteed groundout every time he steps to the plate. He had a good night last night, but he's an aging player that's a perennial .250 hitter with limited power. I was glad when the Giants dumped him.

NO...Pedro is a good defender..but his age is getting up there...the Giants should concentrate on their younger players...if only Bochy and Sabean practices what they preach....

Just what the Giants need...
another undisciplined
swing at the 1st pitch,
swing at balls in the dirt,
strikeout,
hit in to double play
mess at the plate.
NO MORE "FREE SWINGERS".

Not top 10.

Now...most sacrilegious sequels....you bet! Along with Exorcist II. But Exorcist III is a winner.

"Would you consider Pedro Feliz as a Free Agent pick up?"

No

No offense man but, why would the Giants want Feliz back and why would Feliz want to come back to the Giants? I'm not sure if he would want to come back here, and I'm not so sure if the Giants even want him back. Like someone said here earlier, he's not even hitting well in Philly. I think Feliz only hit 6 HR's this season. This lineup is already devoid of power and even though Feliz actually put up decent power numbers here with the Giants before, I really don't want to go through the frustration of watching his AB's with the Giants again. I'm pretty sure you would agree, right?

If Feliz were to opt out of the final year of his contract, Feliz should go to another team where he can bat lower in the lineup. If Feliz comes back here to the Giants, he's probably going to be batting 3rd, cleanup, 5th, or other spots that aren't suited for him in this lineup, like he did in '05, '06, and '07, here with the Giants. We can't have Feliz and Rowand in the same lineup. lol

Do you seriously want Feliz to come back to the Giants?

You should stop eating spicy food right before bedtime. It may reduce your nightmares.

Good, good! I really hope this doesn't happen. Who here really wants to see Feliz come back to the Giants?
