Is anyone planning on running the LA Marathon? I have been training for it and was curious if there are going to be any Dodger fans planning on being there.

I am a little bit interested in hearing about this year's actual course. There have been so many obstacles with the LA Marathon in the past, I am concerned how this year's marathon is going to be different and more "runner-friendly"....Also, since Frank and Jamie are getting a divorce, it should be interesting watching what happens with this one since the McCourts now own the LA Marathon....

Good for you Eric! Takes a lot of discipline to do what you're doing, plus a pretty high pain threshold. :)

I just watched the NYC marathon on TV the other day, turned out to be a beautiful day for a run, bright sunshine and 50 degree temperatures. (Great weather for New York in November, lol)

The NYC marathon is cool because it goes through every borough of New York, starting off in Staten Island, going through Brooklyn and Queens, hitting the most northern point in the Bronx, and finally descending back down to the finish in Central Park Manhattan. From what i can tell the course seems pretty flat but still challenging. Good luck in your race, i know you're going to do GREAT! :)

Thanks for the encouragement. I actually just saw in the NY Times an article about the recent NY marathon. I would love to make it out there for that event. The course looks really awesome and for the most part, gets a lot of support from the community.

You should train and try to do next years....
