    • The Yankees won but my house just got toilet papered

I can't believe this, i was watching the victory celebration on the TV and my parents were sleeping when all of a sudden a rowdy crowd of Yankee fans toilet papered the trees in front of my house.

I ran out into the darkness hoping to confront the perpetrators but they we're already down the street singing and chanting. Pure hooligan behavior. I mean, what is about winning a championship that makes people act like fools? And now i can't go to sleep because the area outside of my house is full of cars passing by honking their horns and playing loud music.

This is ridiculous, so much for Yankee fans being more classy than Mets fans. Oh dear...

It's not funny Riteaidgrl, i just had a dreadful dreadful night. I literally didn't fall asleep until 4 a.m. in the morning, and prior to that i was just standing next to the window in my parents living room waiting for the next Yankee fan bold enough to vandalize my property.

Well, finally around 4 a.m. i got so sleepy i just passed out on the living room rug and woke up a few hours later when my Dad stepped over me on his way out the door. Then this morning i just finished my Spanish quiz and i'm very concerned that i did poorly, mostly because i was so tired from not sleeping that i couldn't even think straight. I just feel lousy. it's one thing for fans to celebrate in their homes or go to a bar and enjoy the game, but quite another for them to carry themselves like lunatics at all hours of the night holloring and hootering. This is something i don't agree with, and if it happens again next year i'll be prepared with the water hose.

Please don't generalize all Yankee fans together. There are just as many of those bad fans rooting for the dodgers.

I'm just imagining a grown man in his PJ's passed out on the floor with his father walking over him mumbling to himself "dear God, this person is my offspring" LOL

What makes you think it was Yankee fans?

Lol, roll with it Frank. Its all in good fun. Toilet paper and honking horns is harmless fun, I would hope most places would celebrate that way.

Anyway, we had just a few fireworks here. Lasted about 3 mintes, it's all good.

Ok, you make a good point George, it's not fair to generalize an entire group of fans just because of a few bad apples. That being said, don't you agree that it's weird that these people would take a seemingly joyous occasion and turn it into a opportunity to vandalize someone else's property? Just doesn't make sense. That;s all i was trying to say George.

Not cool la3000, not cool la3000. How would you like it if you were trying to get some much needed sleep, the night before a big exam at school, and all these folks are outside your door carrying on like it's New Years Eve? I;m sorry, but if you don't see anything wrong with this than you must be one of those party animals without a care in the world.

I can't believe this, you barely know anything about me, much less my Dad, and you come to the conclusion that he's embarrassed to have me as a son? Not cool 3000. I think parents are always disappointed by their children to some extent, and mine are no different. But i would think my Dad was proud that i was willing to defend his home against this no good hooligans, that i was willing to risk getting beat up to prove a point: don't disrespect the sanctity of my parents home or you;ll have to tangle with me. And the way i look at things i may have gotten beat up a little but the consequences for them would have been much worse, jail time worse. Do you agree with this 3000?

I know they were Yankee fans Tex, they were wearing Yankee jerseys that were even visible in the dark, and the yelling started roughly around the time final out was made by the Phillies. The only other explanation i could come up with was they were possibly disgruntled Met fans looking to take their anger out on innocent people like me, but that wouldn't explain the Yankee jerseys. I dunno.

88!!!!!! YES!!! How's it going? been wondering were you've been, great to see you again! :)

I know you live in Smithtown, but my little block in Lake Grove is known for being a little too rambunctious, we actually had a couple of new families move in down the block on Walnut and they're known for being very loud, blasting music at all hours of the night during the summer. Since the weather got colder they seemed to quiet down but last night them and bunch of other kids celebrated just a bit too much. Again, i understand if people want to have fireworks or cheering for 5 or 10 minutes, but these people were going for more then an hour! And to add injury to insult they even toilet papered our property in less then 5 minutes. Unbelievable.

Sounds like a rowdy crowd over there in Lake Grove....lol. The NLCS was a real bummer. I'm finally over it now that the WS is over. I'll be around a bit more now. I was sure this was our year.

Wait til next year...

Next year will be our year 88, count on it. Some people are very frustrated by our lack of progress two years in a row, getting eliminated both years in 5 games in the NLCS, but are players are young and still improving. From what i saw of Philly in the World Series their players are on the verge of declining, particularly Rollins and Ryan Howard. Next year we'll finally wrest control of the National League away from them.

Go Dodgers!

Glad to hear that hoss, the way i look at things these kids are targeting my parents home because they don't care for ME, not my Dad or Mom. My Dad leaves every morning at 6:30 and comes home at 7, my Mom is also gone most of the day and has never been the type to quarrel with our neighbors. It was me who drew the ire of these dumb kids last year by wearing my Andre Ethier jersey and by screaming at them whey they threw ice at my living room window last year, so now whenever they disrespect my family or home it's personal, very personal.
