Doc is Doc and Downs is one of the most underrated players in baseball. Save from this season, when he was still really good, Downs has been our best reliever for a long, long time.

He's reasonably cheap as well. He would easily put your pen over the top.

We'll even throw in Overbay and eat half of his 6MM salary.

It's shocking that someone outside of our own board is including Hu in a trade.

Dodgers won't gamble on a possible one year ace. Expect only prospects for Halladay at this point. If the Jays made a trade last season, they would have received much more.

Hu is the heart and soul of any future Dodger dynasty. They are just keeping him in triplE A so that he doesn't embarrass Loney, Martin, Kemp and Ethier in their maturation process. Hu has the defensive skill sets of Ozzy Smith with the offensive fire power of A-Rod. So Hu is UNTOUCHABLE!!

so i guess the long-rumored straight-up hu-for-halladay trade is finally dead. [:(

I think the deal for Halladay was long dead. There would most likely not be a tradde for him this year. Mostly next year.

But we have to be patient because we should not run this team into trouble by trading the talented kids.
