There is another dodgers website with a forum that was started by Dodger fans. I will be leaving these messageboards to go there for for quite a while. There are some posters over there that were once at this place (BigBadJon51, ETHIERfan16, and a couple more)

I will miss this place, but i just want to explore and experiment.

Bye everybody! :)

Creeper, it's a great board. A very good group of people who respect each other. No trolls or bs that you see here is tolerated. I wish you'd been with us during the game threads, it's a lot of fun. Welcome.

Hey Creeper17. Ourdodgers.com is great site, full of knowledgeable posters that love their team. Also if your interested in further exploring consider checking out a site called clubdodgers.com. There's no DW or Bosvslad types over there that utilize personal attacks or mock Dodger players, just a great family type atmosphere where people talk baseball in a respectful manner. there's also an off topic section which is pretty cool. How about becoming a member there and at ourdodgers.com? Just give it some consideration, do it, for your old pal Panic. :)

"No trolls or bs that you see here is tolerated."

It's worth noting that all the trolls and BS is allowed here because of the "Founding Fathers" of ourdodgers.com.

They whined and complained to have the mods leave this board alone, then when the mods were run out, they left and created their own board saying it was troll and drama free.

Bottom line, it's a great place to post and talk baseball. You're welcome to join us.

"Bottom line, it's a great place to post and talk baseball."

That's debatable.

"You're welcome to join us."

Been there done that, left it.

I don't mean to start flame war with all of this, but since the issue of this site having trolls and ourdodgers.com not having trolls was brought up, I thought I would just mention it's because of those guys this site has so many trolls and why that site exists.

I have an email from Bennyp stating that it was Chuck and his crew that got his moderating privilages taken away and because of those guys we have little to no moderating here. Which doesn't really bother me, except for when those guys brag about this site being troll infested and their site being a "paradise." Hypocritical.

<I have an email from Bennyp stating that it was Chuck and his crew that got his moderating privilages taken away and because of those guys we have little to no moderating here.>

Could you explain how that happened? And I wonder why does Benny post on that board, if this is the case. Seems confusing. Benny is pretty high up in MLB.com and has a lot of seniority from what I've read.

"Could you explain how that happened?"

Just like anything with this board if you complain enough, valid or not, it will happen.

"And I wonder why does Benny post on that board, if this is the case."

That's what prompted me to email him and ask him what's up. He said it's in the past, but holds them responsible none the less.

Whether Bennyp has moved up in MLB.com is pretty irrelevant. If word was passed down not to monitor this site it will stick no matter how many moderators move through the system. It wasn't Bennyp as much as their moderating practices that Chuck and his crew had removed.

If you're upset because of the trolls on this forum and go to ourdodgers.com looking for refuge, just know who opened the gates to them in the first place. Whether you believe in heavy moderating or not, you have to see the hypocrisy in all of it.

Yeah, I guess so.

<Just like anything with this board if you complain enough, valid or not, it will happen.>

I still question the weirdness of their complaints having such an effect, though. For years and years people were complaining about this board's heavy moderation and nothing was done even though many complaints were filed. Now all of a sudden these guys get their way, even though we're to assume they are just 2 average joes? I'm not doubting it, just saying it is strange.

There's nothing "average" about that Joe.

lol - OK. What's your take on this, why do you think they were so influential when others were not? Just because they were relentless in their complaints?

I'll sum it up with this,...and you can believe this, or not - but I swear on my life that it's true.

Chuck and Billynono were so hellbent on chasing me off of this message board that they fabricated this non-sense about me making sexual comments about a 9 year old girl. For a year of their lives, on almost a daily basis, they tried to convince anyone that would listen that I was a sicko that made heinous, sexual comments about a 9 year old. It was no joke either, dude. They were desperately trying to convince people that it was true, for a year - just to run some guy (me) off of a baseball message board.

When they couldn't get rid of me, Chuck ran off and started ourdodgers.com - and took everyone that was dumb enough to believe him with him

THAT is how much time and effort that guy used to go through to control this message board. There is no doubt that he had equally obsessive focus when Benny wasn't running the board to his liking.

When Chuck couldn't control this message board, he started his own.

Those are the facts, Jack.

Oh,...and sidenote,.....talk to MLB.com yourself. It's rarely what the words are that matters here (in regards to moderation) - it's the amount of complaints that matter in regards to deletions and bannings. This is the exact reason that Chuck ran with a crew of dimwits (many of whom make up the ourdodger regulars) who would essentially respond to his direction. Because, if you had a group of people all reporting the same stuff you could literally control who, and what, was posted here.

I've read you making references to that episode in the past but didn't know all the details. Did they really expect people to believe that, with no evidence?

Here it is, and I'm going to edit out some names here because it's pretty irrelevant who the actual people are, just know they are the original crew of ourdodgers.com. If there was a Board of Directors that ran ourdodgers.com the editted names would be on that board.

In response to me about the bypassing of certain filters:

Bennyp: I agree with you but it's not really my problem anymore. I abdicated my role as moderator months ago. There was a faction led by *********
and others who didn't like my heavy handed stance on Off Topic threads
and wanted a free flowing board. Now you see what happens. I'll jump
in when I can. thanks for the tip.

In response to him posting on a board run by the people that kicked him out of Dodgers.com:

Bennyp: "I've made my peace with those guys and frankly, I can't stomach the MLB Board much anymore."

Again, it doesn't bother me that Benny has made peace with those guys, just that the hypocrisy is lost on him as well as other people.

******* I've read you making references to that episode in the past but didn't know all the details. Did they really expect people to believe that, with no evidence? *********

The sad thing is that some people did believe it, without a shred of evidence - because they claimed my words got torn down before anyone else had a chance to read them. Those that believed the BS make up the bulk of the 15-ish regular posters over there.

When it comes down to blind internet accusations, only the accuser and defendent know the truth - so the little gang that used to blindly follow him around here, controlling by reporting, they all went over there.

Most of the original crew got "moderator" status over there - and now they have ultimate control over a message board. Unfortunately they have no outlet to use their cyber power, except by using it on each other.

And that's pretty much how it goes.

So chuck was the dictator mod?? If so then he is fu*king POS!! That mot*er *ucker would literally delete 95 percent of the post made on this site.

No no. Chuck just complained enough to the actual mods to get posts deleted. Lobbied for no moderation, then as a result, when the trolls took over ran off and made his own site and claimed it to be "troll free."

I was never a mod at mlb.com, muttts, although dw once accused me of it too and used it to fuel a year and a half's worth of stalking of me. Oy. Don't get too caught up in the lies going around on threads like these. DW wasn't even around for the over-moderation--OBVIOUSLY. If he was, he wouldn't be around. If tbbb was around, it was using another user id, and he'd have likely been one of the complainers about the over-moderation since everyone was calling for the mods to lighten up. BTW, my understanding was that bennyp was gone when the over-moderation started. He had told us he wouldn't be doing this anymore because he had his media stuff amping up. I'll try to clarify with benny, though.

Think about it this way, ourdodgers.com has existed for a year and a half and a couple of these folks are still carrying enough rage to relentlessly continue stoking the fire on a place I don't even post on anymore. Anyway, I'm not going to hang around and up the voltage on these guys more than my mere presence will do on its own.

To the friends still over here, I'll leave a big hello and wish you well. Hasta!
