Hopefully it goes off in the NLCS and not the WS.

Yeah, I guarantee you the Phils were sweating when he came into the game. They know he can implode at any time.

We missed it by one game, it appears that Broxtonitis is contagious.

Lidge was rattled by Damon's great AB and subsequent baserunning exploits. ...and then he predictably fell apart. Very enjoyable viewing.

Good to see the two Philthies great pitchers from 08 implode. Makes you believe the Phillies will not dominate in 2010...

It says nothing of the sort. This is just a testament to how shaky Lidge has become, and how strong the Yankees are.

The Phillies, even with their glaring bullpen weakness showed they are a better all around team than we are.

I won't argue that the Phils are not better than we are now...but after Lee, their pitching isn't great.

Don't get Lee, let the Phillies have him, REAL SMART!

I agree that after Lee their pitching is not solid. But at least they had Lee. That's what got them to the WS. We didn't have that top of the rotation guy.

Hamels problem I think is that he pitched too many innings the past couple of years and is worn down. Will he rebound him 2010? That's a questionmark. They also got by because they have some real bashers on that team like Utley, Howard, Werth and Ibanez all with 30+ Hrs. The Dodgers don't have that type of power and if the lineups stay status quo, guys like Loney and Martin are going to need to steal from Ramirez's medicine cabinet to produce the punch the Dodgers desperately need.

Agree, but I'm not ready yet to give up on 2010. We have a good nucleus. I'm anxious to see what we do about 2B; starting DeWitt would demonstrate an unwillingness to progress.

I'd like to see the Dodgers sign Figgins. It would give the team the leadoff hitter they need, and Furcal could be slid down the lineup. I don't see them spending that type of money this offseason though.

Works for me - not sure Ned will do nothing about 2B..
