..wondered if ya could help me--

..my Dad's comin' in town tomorrow.. he comes every March for a week of ST games.. was trying to figure out good places to take him when the AZ Fall League occurred to me.. I've never been, don't know much about it.. went to check it out and when you click on 'tickets', it only gives the teams and days.. doesn't have addresses, stadium names.. NOTHIN'!!!!! :)

..anyone that's been- can you tell me, how do you get the locations, etc..? ..and can you only buy the tix there in person..? ..and can you recommend the stadiums you prefer, you like the best.. and also which TEAMS would be the best to see..?

For a day game, Phoenix Municipal (Phoenix Desert Dogs?) is a pretty park - w/Camelback mtn in the backdrop. All will be 90% empty, so 'walk up' and buy tickets (all are general admission I think) and you can probably reach out and touch the players you can sit so close.

I'd stay north and east to see a game - and for anything else for that matter.

Parking should be free at these games too.

Scottsdale's park is RIGHT next to Old Town Scottsdale, so you can go shopping or eating within 3 blocks of the park before or after games.

Tickets cost $6-8 I think? The quality of play is VERY good, but very 'casual'.

It looks like there is all-star game on Saturday (7th) in Surprise with the regular schedule resuming on Monday. If you live in the East Valley, Scottsdale (Dbacks players) will play Mesa at HoHoKam Park in Mesa on Monday and Scottsdale will play Phoenix at Phoenix Muni on Tuesday. Both games start at 12:35 PM. Tickets are $6 ($5 for seniors over 55). I always like to sit directly behind homeplate where the scouts sit. That way I can see their radar gun readings and occasionally listen in on their conversations.

..so if I'm understandin' correctly, the Scottsdale team (Dbacks) are definetly playing Monday at the Cubs park, and they are also definetly playing Tuesday at Oakland's park.. both at 12:35..? ..and is there any team that might have players more recognizable than others, any team you like better, over the others..? ..LOL I can't believe all these years of bein' a baseball fan, I've never gotten involved with the AZ Fall League :)
