What an amazing postseason, congrats to him. Look at the talent the came from their farm system, that's impressive. It seems as though it just solidifies comments made by Lou that we need to be more offensively balanced (last year), and by Ricketts that we need to make our farm system more top-notch. Lefties may not really be needed, but lefty homeruns look so darn pretty!

Yeah he's having one of the great postseasons ever and still doesn't get near the publicity that ARod and others from the Yanks get. Maybe if the Phils come back and win it he'll get some better recognition.

If I was GM I'd trade for this guy, before game 6 too.

Is he better than the Fontenothin/Baker platoon?

If Fontenot goes back to his 2008 numbers he'll be up there with Utley. Fontenot has the potential if given the chance. I'd rather have Theriot at 2B though over Utley. He does the little things and comes way cheaper than Utley.

Like that? : )

I remember when the Phils were thinking of trading Utley so Polanco would be the everyday second baseman.

LOL, good one. You could glue together the best body parts from both Theriot and Fontenot and the product couldn't play baseball as good as Utley's greasy hairdo could.

Problem is Steve, Someone on here will read what you typed and say "yep, exactly right".

Nicely done.

ja,

Or if you put one of them on the other one's shoulders it would equal utley's height.

One other thing about Utley that not many realize is how awesome his defense is. He has incredible range and is perhaps one of if not THE best defensive second basemen in all of baseball right now (awry throws in the Dodgers series notwithstanding).

With or without his hair slicked back with bear grease?

I hate to say this, but Utley's style of play has always reminded me a lot of Ryne Sandberg.

Wow....You read my mind. Chase Utley may or may not be a Ryne Sandberg reborn. But mostly I believe that he resembles Ryno to darn near a tee! lol
