They ended up with the 5th pick in the draft. I dont really like this pick. Were going to miss out on Bush and Leinert. I dont really know whats left after that(hopin someone will fill me in) but we'll probably miss out on A.J. Hawk who also sounds good. So I dont know. Someone please fill me in. Thanks

they should get hawk, i agree. Its not whats open talent wise, its what the team needs. Like the 9ners wouldnt take leinart. And who knows what the Texans will take because the need an Oline the most because carr and davis arent that bad. They did go 7-9 in 04. Theres Devin Hester the CB from Miami who might go pro, hes a great kr and good cb, maybe not worth a top 5 pick though. And if we wanted a qb that bad vince young is always avalible.

I disagree. They need a defensive end who can consistently pressure the QB--that would do wonders for the entire defense. Suddenly Ammad Carrol may look serviceable. Plus if the team had the balls to release KGB like they did Joe Johnson, that's more cap room.

One web site I saw has Hawk going to the Jets with the 3rd pick and GB taking Mario Williams, a DE from NC State.

Carroll has not proved diddly swat to me.
Sander is gone in my eyes as the punter.
Favre will retire.
The Packers will draft A.J. Hawk.

I wouldn't be surprised if Leinart falls to 5, the Pack might end up having a shot at Leinart or Young, and you'd almost have to go there if Favre retires.

It's going to be either hawk or williams, i hope they get Hawk, that guy is a tackling machine. He would bring a big boost to the defense. In the sites i've looked at, in around 3 of 5 of them had the packers taking Hawk. I hope they're right.

NO QB!!! QB can be an overrated position. We need an OLB, Hawk would be great but i doubt he'll slip, or a DB because Roman ain't great and neither is Carroll. Oline can be drafted in later rounds. TT isn't dumb enough to draft Leinart because he drafted Rodgers last year, which would make him look like an idiot if he drafted another QB. TT is trying to make HIS dynasty and HIS QB is Rodgers. He doesn't want our first draft pick last year to be a nothing.

Look for Houston to maybe trade that pick, they have Davis as their RB, and he was their only bright spot of the season. I doubt that will happen, but it's a possibility

The Texans will trade that pick and pick up several other picks in compensation. It makes sense and they need to overhaul their o-line and d-line. Davis is a solid back and would put up pro bowl numbers behind a real NFL line. Packers will pick Hawk and put him at middle linebacker so they can move Barnett to the weak side backer where he can use his great speed to his advantage. I believe drafting Hawk would improve them in 2 areas (middle and outside linebacker). The rest of the draft should be devoted to upgrading the o-line (the guards are terrible and out tackles aren't getting any younger) and the d-line. In free agency they need to find a return man since our offense is going to need all the help it can get. Jsut my 2 cents.

I see it the other way around, unless you have insider info I think that Hawk will go to OLB because I think he is faster and smaller than Nick. Nick has been great this year and will only get better so I don't know why we would want to move him.

The Texans needs so much done to their team, Bush isn't the answer. The can get a ton of picks by just trading the #1 pick, let alone if they trade a 2nd round pick too

You must be on drugs if you would trade the first overall pick assuming bush will go pro. Like in one of the earlier post it mentions a player of this potential only comes once in a while. This guy will live up to his hype. If I was the Texans ide draft Bush and try to deal D. Davis for a pick or keep him as insurance. Bush maybe not a stud his first season but you take this guy and build around him. The Texans were like 7-9 in 04', not to shabby. I think if they improve there Oline, get Bush, another target for Carr and get a stud on Def. this could be a playoff caliber team. (well in a few years)

If i were Bush and knowing that the Texans have the top pick and am more then likely going #1, i would either pull a Eli Manning and refuse to play for them, or return to college. i feel if he goes there, it would be a BIG waste of a star. D. Davis wasnt really a bright spot: 6 total tds and 1400 yards. (976 and 2 tds rushing). This is from a guy who two years ago pilled up something like 1600 yds and 10 tds. (not exactly sure what the stats are but they were good) And they also have the Vernone Morency(spelling) who came on strong in his limited time. But if i were bush id go back for another year.

1. Houston - Reggie Bush
2. New Orleans - Matt Leinart
3. Tennesee - trade or D'brick
4. Jets - Young (if he comes out) or ?(I doubt DeAngelo this early)
5. Packers - A.J. Hawk

Posluszny isn't a top 10 pick

Barnett had a good season statistacally but he still blew way too many assignments for a middle backer. He runs a 4.5 40 so I beleive he is faster than Hawk. Watching Hawk in college he seems to have more football instinct where BArnett relies more on his natural ability. I could be wrong but either way Hawk would be great fit and him and Barnett would be a good foundation to build the defense around.

Pozlusny's stock might drop considering he injured himself last night during the Orange Bowl. Not sure what the final results are, but it looked like a torn ligament of some sort, or maybe a hyperextension
