Apparently this poor muslim believed in that ideology.

He apparently listened to all these liberal news outlets about the persecution of muslims in iraq and afghanisthan.

And now we have the results.

Really. You don't think emboldening these guys views about America by the left is a problem.

Get real man. The left has coddled people like these.

SOME on the left have done so. But I'm sure most on the left don't approve of what was done today.

hmm read the posts..I don't see any liberals defending the Army or Christian beliefs. Instead I see excuses and sympathy for Islam (or just another reason to hate Christians). There are a lot of folk on here that I didn't have respect for before, now I surely don't. Which makes me realize what they say is about as important as a pimple on my @$$...Braves fan or not...

You know that's not true. No one is defending anything just stating the truth that this guy doesn't represent all Muslims. Same thing i'd do for some violent guy claiming to be Christian. I'm not even a liberal but I know I get put in the category.

There has not been one post disrespecting the soldiers and we're all heartbroken by the deaths of those soldiers (Especially on U.S. soil). As a whole this isn't about the groups of liberals/conservatives or Christians/Muslims, it's about someone going farther than any normal person would go regardless of who believes what. Murder, Extremism, insanity and stupidity is not limited to one group.

This thread wasn't meant to be about left or right but instead how tragic something like this has happen...I guess those that want to use it as an excuse to say 'liberals this' and 'repubs that' are just looking for ways to get an edge.

And while we are at it, let's wiretap anyone with an Irish-sounding name (Timothy McVeigh). Watch FOX Noise much?

Why don't we start deporting anyone who doesn't have a names Smith, Jones, Williams, or Johnson. Let's get rid of all Mc's and funny-sounding names.
BTW, this guy doesn't even look that much like someone of Middle Eastern descent. My brother-in-law looks more Arabic than this guy.

The IRA vs the UVF - christians blowing up christians because they don't believe in the same sect of christianity.Thats the muslims too aint it?

Actually, I'm just opposed to the idea that because a dog bites you, all dogs are people-biters and should be put down. Extreme Muslims are a menace to the world and should be dealt with. But to then brand all the world's Muslims as extremists and murderers, and to suggest they shouldn't be allowed in the country at all, is nuts. Straight up.
Take a stroll through a maximum security prison and see how many of the inmates there love Jesus. By your methodology, we should stop letting Christians into our military and into our country. They're criminals!

Should I keep going?
sorry bro....those are all excuse for what happened today and not one cent of sympathy for those killed- ONLY excuses for the murderer..I'm sure Yak and Blue are thinking of the events and floggn the molly while watching ol Michael Moore tonight.. This was right up their alley.

Today's events proved a couple of things:
1. the military should screen better
2. Political Correctness does not work-We should be profiling

Do you understand the meaning of the word 'excuse?' You're using it a lot, but it doesn't seem that you know its definition.

Apparently the correct thing to do in the face of any tragedy is not only to condemn the person who committed the act, but also to condemn anyone who shares their religion or race. Is that how you mean by 'showing your sympathy?'

once again I am proven correct by the great almighty Yak.... "Bow before me as I correct you and prove that I right, as I prove everyone wrong for I am smarter than you ....I am always right for I am great and Powerful Yak"

i think by definition those follow some of the posts that have been mentioned...

eh..I'm ok at it, but its tough.
I prefer to call it using my Frontal Lobe (NO not that frontal lobe) for processing.

see below
The frontal lobe is an area in the brain of mammals. It is located at the front of each cerebral hemisphere and positioned anterior to (in front of) the parietal lobes and above and anterior to the temporal lobes. It is separated from the parietal lobe by the primary motor cortex, which controls voluntary movements of specific body parts associated with the precentral gyrus.
In humans, the frontal lobe reaches full maturity around age 25[citation needed], marking the cognitive maturity associated with adulthood. Arthur Toga, UCLA, found increased myelin in the frontal lobe white matter of young adults compared to that of teens. A typical onset of schizophrenia in early adult years correlates with poorly myelinated and thus inefficient connections between cells in the fore-brain.

of course according to wikipedia, it is fully mature around 25...which really explains a lot of comments made here.

Function:
The executive functions of the frontal lobes involve the ability to recognize future consequences resulting from current actions, to choose between good and bad actions (or better and best), override and suppress unacceptable social responses, and determine similarities and differences between things or events. Therefore, it is involved in higher mental functions.
The frontal lobes also play an important part in retaining longer term memories which are not task-based. These are often memories associated with emotions derived from input from the brain's limbic system. The frontal lobe modifies those emotions to generally fit socially acceptable norms.
Psychological tests that measure frontal lobe function include finger tapping, Wisconsin Card Sorting Task, and measures of verbal and figural fluency.[1]
