You're an idiot. We don't know what A-Rod will be like when he comes back--and Youkilis didn't impress anyone in Chicago or Boston. He hasn't had a good season since 2009. And that Yankees roster doesn't scare anyone, compared to previous years.

Yeah, watch A-Rod drag down the Yankees when he comes back. Delgado had hip surgery and never made it back--and he was as old as A-Rod is now.

I can't see him coming back after the break and having any impact this year, especially with no work from now till whenever. He'll spend the rest of the year trying to get right. On top of that, when's the last time teams feared this guy?

Is he done with his glory years? Yes that is for sure. However remember who we're talking about here... there could be a couple good seasons left in his tank. Hard to completely doubt future hall of famers.

The Yankees are going to blow...Suzuki is old....and will likely post a .700 OPS...Cervelli is their strating catcher..Nunez is their DH...Jeter is coming off injury and will have a hard time duplicating his bounce back season....Petitte...give me a break...if he has to pitch an entire season..the wear and tear on the old guy will break him down as the season goes on...4 plus ERA there....kuroda and CC are solid....petitte, Nova and hughes do not inspire confidence at all......they lost soriano..how does riveria come back....the yankees blow....but i'm glad you're cheering for them lee...you are going to be a sad puppy come year end..

Wow, its too bad the Yankees fanbase has to endure the loss of the face of their franchise until the all star break. It's too bad they don't have a committed owner like Rogers. Instead of seeing that their team is full of question marks, they decided to sit on their hands for the most part and hope things break the right way for them.

Where as Rogers saw that their product was close to contending, and decided to go out and make MASSIVE upgrades to the team. It sure would hurt to be a NYY fan right now, knowing that your ownership had done nothing but sign a couple of aging veterans to try and patch holes. A-Rod will never even come close to regaining his form, and the team is full of question marks. Only more good news for Jays fans!

Everybody always says the surgery was a complete success. Always. Surgeon CYA, team selling tickets, player wants to retain roster status, agent wants commission on next contract... it's in no one's interest to announce it was a failure.

A-Rod is a has-been. Have you looked at the degeneration of his numbers the last few years? Yougest guy to 600 HR, barely caught Junior (630) now struggling to overtake Mays (660) - that might be a 2014 proposition. Most people would have bet he would have overtaken Ruth by now, and blown out Bonds by the time he retired. Time is running out. Now it doesn't look like he gets to 700. Ever.
