Lol and some people thought that story yesterday was weird.

This may be the strangest story I've ever read, I don't even know how to react.

Te'o - "My girlfriend died"

The League - "Do you want the Heisman Trophy?"

Te'o - "yeah"

The League - "OK,....We feel your loss, she was a great woman"

I'm almost positive Te'o was in on it himself. Appears that his friend was operating the "gf's" twitter account.

Of course he was in on it!

I don't understand what the other viewpoint would be; there are no records this girl ever existed, went to Stanford, was in a car crash, etc. He probably thought it was funny in the beginning, and then went off the rails, so he just milked the publicity

Te'o: "To realize that I was the victim of what was apparently someone's sick joke and constant lies was, and is, painful and humiliating."

Guess we'll have to wait until he wins 7 lombardi trophies in a row until he does an Oprah interview

The photos of his supposed girlfriend were all based off this random woman in Torrance, CA who apparently was horrified that her photo was being distributed all over the news.

I don't know...I guess it got him more attention and sympathy from the press. It was a pretty big story during the college season.

"Of course he was in on it!"

The only way he wasn't is if he was embarrassed that it was an online only relationship so he lied about meeting up with her and things like that.

The odds of that are so slim though so I'm sure you're right, he was almost certain to be in on it.

It made him into some sort of tragic figure, fighting the system.

LOL at ND and Te'o trying to spin it off as him being the victim. There's no way to justify that.

I suppose that's the only way but that doesn't make him a victim, just stupid.

Does make him stupid.

Have you ever seen the movie Catfish? The guys in the movie definitely play it up but something like that can happen.

This guy must be a pathological liar. He's probably been telling fibs his whole life. That's really the only explanation I can find for this. You don't just wake up one day and decide to do something this crazy. He must have been working up to it since childhood.
