E5 had a great spring. This is more about keeping the 4 and 5 guy motivated and not putting added pressure on Lawrie.
Lawrie isn't going to voice any displeasures about hitting 6th, but you can bet in his own mind he's going to be thinking he should hit 4rth.....It's good psycology...he's going to continue to work, focus and strive to achieve to get to that position in the batting order. If you handed it to him, there might be just the slightest let up with him taking something for granted.
E5 and Lind are accountible to their teammates. They are going to work extremely hard knowing that a guy like Lawrie is mashing it behind them. I actually like this lineup to start the season. This is a mental game and I like the psycological aspects of how this effects the players in the lineup. I fully expect Lawrie to be hitting higher very soon.
