Another award to go on Ruiz mantle for this year, taking the PCL Player of the Year at the annual George M. Trautman Awards, selected by Topps and Minor League Baseball.

Nice haul to with PCL MVP and Jays Player of the Year for Vegas. Congratz.

Ruiz had a good year and I would like to see him on the club next year . This is why I think It,s key to see if Lind can play a decent first base.

I realize the guy isn,t young but his power potential at the price is worth it.

Hard to argue with that given his performance this year, but with Cito doing the managing, God knows what could happen.

Should he play and get 500 AB's I think we'll see 25-30 HR, 80-90 RBI and... 150+ K's. Might be the feel good story of the year.

IMO Ruiz is another Jack Cust or Carlos Pena... great power, lots of K's... and he will hit 30+ home runs, so I don't mind that kind of power at such a cheap cost. I hope he gets a chance.

500AB = 35HR 100RBI 200-220Ks.

Book it. He might set a record for Ks but who cares.

I'm totally in favour of Ruiz as DH/RH1B with Lind in LF and Snider in RF (we don't have nearly the outfield depth we had with Rios around... I'm still glad Rios is gone, but still...)

Ruiz is a great choice for an everyday bat in the line-up on the cheap... He'd be like Kevin Millar, but not terrible...

also, I don't thin Ruiz would crack HALF as many jokes as Millar... how do you put a price on that!?!?!
