- Lyle Overpaid (7.5m)

if we really want, we can outbid Yankees and re-sign Roy Halladay after 2010 even if he enters free agency.

What about this? Trade Halladay right now, receive a couple of fantastic prospects, spend the entire 2010 regular season on developing the prospects,

And re-sign Halladay at the end of 2010 regular season, sign two more real hard bats, (possibly 1B, 3B, SS)

and the rest of AL East will be at mercy of the Canadian team.
