" How do you like this!?! "

Your plan is both impossible and not good.

Wells is immovable

It's Snider, and putting him on the bench is just plain dumb. What the he.ll is the point?

Adam Lind at RF?

I Don't want Cecil to be in the pen

And I don't think we're getting Bay, Figgins or Lackey unless we ridiculously overpay. It's just a pipe dream.

If we can get a good deal on Mr. Delgado that would be great! But something tells me that he may go for a little bit more then we will want to pay him.

Don't like adding

Lackey, Delgado, Bay and Figgens

seems unrealistic and so costly we won't be able to resign some of our younger players like Lind when the time comes.

I don't like Rod at C... too costly in picks and cash... use Chavez

don't like Roenick at closer yet... maybe some day.. but not now.

REALLY don't like having Snider on the bench... why the heck would we do that? Give him AB's no matter where he ends up

I don't know how you are trading out Wells... just don't know how

Come on, Snider on the bench? He's the future of this team.

Also the type of money you are speding on bay delgado and figgins you can invest in one heck of a power hitting 1B which is what we need and then you can try Ruiz at DH. You could probably still add an above average outfielder with the Halladay trade.

Lol @ anyone complaining about that team. The real criticism is how incredibly unrealistic this plan is.

Bradley in CF? The pitchers on the team would come up with fake injuries to make sure they don't have to take the mound with him in center.

.....but not new. The jays will have to determine how much load McGowan can handle should he make it back at all.

Brad Hawpe would cost a lot more then David Purcey and a prospect. Hawpe is under control for two more seasons, at a respectable contract. The A's traded Carlos Gonzalez, Huston Street and Greg Smith for just one year of Matt Holiday. The price with Hawpe is going to be expensive. I'm guessing something along the lines of Brett Cecil, Brandon League, plus another decent mid-level prospect. If the Blue Jays are competing for next season, I think trading for Hawpe would be a great move. He would fill a hole in right field and would give the Blue Jays a solid impact bat for the middle of the lineup. Plus you could keep Snider in left and DH Lind.

That's not the lineup I'd make one through nine lol, I just listed the hitters at their positions.

I think the 25 man roster I put out there isn't all that bad. I didn't want to get into details on who's traded for whom, etc. Though if the Blue Jays went with that roster to Texas on Opening Day, that's not that bad of a team.

LaRoche gives the Blue Jays 25-30 HR power at first base. He shouldn't cost that much on the market this offseason. He would be a cheap source of power, which is something the Blue Jays need.

I think Brad Hawpe is one of the most underrated hitters in all of baseball. He could put up monster numbers every season. He was amazing in 2007, hitting 29 HR's with 116 RBI's. Sure his HR and RBI totals were a bit low this season, though look at his .OBP, .SLG and .OPS. He's a terrific hitter and would be a great fit in the Blue Jays lineup.

As for Dustin McGowan as the closer, if he's healthy I'd give him a look there. Worst case scenario, you have Downs or Frasor to replace him. Most of the successful closers today were starters coming up. McGowan has the stuff to let it all out in the ninth. The concern is his health as you mentioned.
