Remember before the Raiders came back and fukkkkkked everything up?
They used to have the infamous "Ball Scramble!"
That was soooooooo much fun! Run like he11 and grab every baseball you could in the outfield.
Some balls were marked which were good for nice prizes like TV's, A's stuff and even trips!
The good old daze are gone!

BRING BACK THE HAAS FAMILY!

Screw "JEWW" Wolff In Sheep's Clothing!
We want real ownership!!! Not some cheesy Super Mall Cop Real Estate Phony!!!!!!!

"IN THE A'S I TRUST"

I don't trust Billy Beane either.
It's going to be a "HARD COLD WINTER."

Love,

CINDERELLA

(what a great underrated hair metal band from the Eighties)

"Remember before the Raiders came back and fukkkkkked everything up?

"The good old daze are gone! BRING BACK THE HAAS FAMILY! Screw "JEWW" Wolff In Sheep's Clothing!"

2 things here.

1. The Raiders came back to Oakland in 1995. Wolff bought the team in 2005. Now, there are a lot of things you can attack Wolff for (not caing about Oakland and trying to move the team, no real interest in baseball, won't spend money to keep players, etc.), but, seriously? Wolff is responsible for the loss of the ball scramble? That's kinda like blaming Obama for starting the Iraq war (Or blaming G.W. Bush for Somalia. Whichever political side you like).

2. You are seriously going to disparage Lew Wolff by calling him "JEWW" Wolff? I'm not even going to address this further than by saying that if you have a conscience you should appologize for this.

I could never apologize for that.
I just couldn't resist the "pun."
No offense to the Jewish Community, that was not my intention. I simply think that you are just trying to turn a mole hill into a MOUNTAIN. Think what you must.

We need great leaders in politics and in sports and right now this Country and the Oakland A's don't have anything going on. Al Davis is an idiot too. So is the owner of the Golden State Warriors.
Don't you see a pattern here?
It's not about offending people, it's about the same old same old.
If you guys take my posts totally serious then that's your issue. I'm not casting my fishing pole line into the bay trying to "troll" here, although I do like to stir it up Bob Marley.
Life is too short.
Too bad it's going to be a very long time until some East Bay Sports Franchise will win another Ring.
Hey! At least Nick Swisher has a RING!

WOLFF $UCK$$$! He is a cheap owner. The A's will be spinning their wheels until the team is sold.

Little Red White and Blue Riding Hood

No offense to the Jewish Community? Just couldn't resist the pun? Sorry, but the difference between ignorance and stupidity is this: you are ignorant when you hold a wrong opinion because you lack certain information that would cause you to change that opinion if you were aware of it. Stupidity is when you've got all the information you need but STILL hold onto the wrong opinion.

There is no excuse in this day and age not to know that calling someone you think is cheap "a jeww" is an offensive racial stereotype. So your belief that you could use the term without causing offense is stupid. You really should apologize.

BTW, this opinion comes from an Italian Catholic (albeit non-practicing) who agrees that Lew Wolff is a bad baseball owner.

Just trying to ask a legitimate question if the Oakland A's will have some event for the fans to attend in the Winter and see the players or even a fanfest in 2010.

Anyone know what's going on?

Don't take this the wrong way. I generally like your posts. They are humorous and, being a musician myself, I love the musical puns you put in there. However, when you attack Wolff, attack him for things he is responsible for. There's plenty there for you to work with. 1995 was still the Haas dynastly.

Second, and most importantly, just because you thought your 'pun' was funny doesn't make it right. Michael Richards wasn't trying to be funny when he did what he did, but that doesn't make what he did ok. I never take your posts seriously. They are good for a few laughs, as intended. But Lew could rhyme with so many things. Try to choose puns that aren't going to be so inflamatory, ok.

Hey Scoob!

I read you loud and clear.
I agree, it was the wrong thing to say. It was a mistake and I clearly made bad judgement.
I apologize to this Forum and to Mr. Wolff.
I will try my best moving forward to stop ripping A's Ownership even though it's so easy to do.
Your are right Scoob, I should have rhymed "POO" with LEW instead of that other word.
I am not a racist or Anti-Semitic. I made a bad call and now I realize that it wasn't funny at all.
I think I will just stick to baseball and rock 'n roll!

GO A'S!

And don't stop ripping on ownership...please don't. I actualy mostly agree with you. Just give them craap for things they actually do.

Yes Rapp I know. I really didn't think my post would have been a big deal but as I stated earlier I made a mistake, hence my sincere apology to the whole Board and the Wolff family.
I have a ton of Jewish friends.
I just need to try and be a bit more conservative on here with my posts.

I was at that Fanfest Fairmo! The place was packed!!
I seriously think that "Fanfest" is a turn off to fans today because of Al Davis and Lew Wolff's inferior product.
Instead of the Ball Scramble they have lame blow up structures filled with balls for kids to play in.
The dead Oakland Raider field is a total turn off. When you walk around the concrete bowl you can look below at the field and it looks like a bomb went off deep within the golden grass and chalked up dirt.
Back in the Day before the Raiders arrived in 1995, the field was emerald green every year and there were tons of fun things to do!

Now the Fanfest, the Ballpark, The Oakland A's and the Oakland Raiders are all falling downhill faster than an Olympic skier wipeout.

Blame it on Owner$hit, I mean Ship.

This Ship is sinking fast.

Kind of a fun one...Some guy got up and asked bobby Crosby in the Q & A sessions if Bobby was finally gonna step up.....

Everyone boo'd the guy.

Right now, I'd high 5 the guy. Kept it real.

I like the Fanfests. Fun to check out the dugout, locker room etc. I don't think there should be ONE line for player autographs. They should wander around and just sign away. I'd have liked to have seen a Batting practice session in the park...something like that. Have a contest drawing and they go right on the field.

Generally speaking though, I think they're pretty fun. Heck, I get to see all my friends from the Lf bleachers. Dang guys are a riot.

Heck, didn't even try and got Hatteberg's auto, Embree's, Kielty's, Zito's and I literally did not spend one minute in a line for autographs. Just asked em politely as they walked by and I don't even like auto's. I got red hair too, so talking to Kielty about the nicknames that were thrown our way while growing up, that was a good memory. That's the stuff I find fun.

And Primus rules!

Good stuff Fairmo! I agree with you. I would have high fived the guy too!
"B00BY" CROSBY IS HISTORY! At least that's one step in the right direction for the Franchise.

Speaking of Primus, I remember reading somewhere that Les Claypool took Geddy Lee to an A's game when RUSH was in town for their "Roll The Bones" Tour in 1991. Les loves the A's and Geddy of course loves his Bluejays. It was an incredible tour. Did you go? I went four times. Primus opened for Rush that year. It was the greatest double bill I have ever seen. Actually I did see King Crimson open for TOOL once in Berkeley.
Anyway PRIMUS $$$$UCKS! RUSH RULES!! Dude, I have seen RUSH 45 times since 1984. I'm sick in the "rushhead!" Hey I noticed that the Admin on here edited my screen name. My screen name is actually RUSHHEAD666. Oh well, they edit a lot of stuff on this Forum.

Let's hope the A's can make some proper changes so they don't have to be "Sailing The Seas Of Cheese" anymore. It's getting old! Hopefully the youth movement will supply some power at the plate in 2010.

Signed,

"Blue Collar Tweekers"
