In reading this article, you can sense a very confident GM, one who clearly operates as a GM and runs the team like it should be run. The fact that he has a hands-off owner is very evident.
When you look at Ed Wade (in my opinion) you see someone who operates as someone who is constantly looking over his shoulder wondering, looking for the next cue of what he is allowed to do and not to do. It is evident that he is the opposite of Ruben Amaro. No knock on Wade, its just what he has to put up with.
