I disagree. He has pitched like a borderline ace for the past two seasons. If he pitches exactly the same throughout this contract as he has been, it will be a steal (relatively) for texas.

He could potentially outpitch CJ Wilson in the same time frame, and we are paying him 20+ million more.

Edwin Jackson is a slightly worse pitcher, and he got the same amount of money for less years. Texas has a very good front office.

In all seriousness, CJ Wilson was very good in 2011. Perhaps better than his typical season would be. I think Harrison and Wilson are about on the same tier of starting pitchers.

We will see in 2013, though. Wilson could come back from his injury and pitch like a beast. If he regains his 2011 form, he will be clearly better than Harrison. But I'm not expecting that out of him.
