    • Giant fans stuffing ALL STAR Ballot Box!

I was listening to mad dog radio today (on series/xm,)and they were talking about the Giants and there fans stuffing the ballot box. Apparently the Giants had computers at the game set up for people to vote and they would remind people to go vote, there announcing team and radio station promoted it and sent out an app to vote for you automatically. Mad Dog is a Giants fan, and he said he was embarrassed by it.

Mad Dog was also complaining about LaRusa being the manager and that he did not pick the best pitchers ERA wise and may have not picked REDS players because of a grudge against Dusty Baker.

It worked to an extent, Sandoval beat out David Wright

How do you feel about stuffing the all star ballot box in general, And how do you vote, do you pick the best players are vote for all of your team or some combo.

Personally, I vote for who I think are the best players.

Hear is a link to an article about it,.

More power to them. They're just following the rules but seem to be a bit more passionate on getting their guys to the ASG. San Francisco is far from being the largest city of potential voters.

Let 'em vote. The lineup they helped pick is nothing compared to A.L. lineup.

I'll say it and I'll say this again.

One stadium, one vote. Then the internet counts as one vote.

That's 31 votes. That's enough to determine who the starters should be. SF or Texas or any city can stuff the ballot box all they want but they still only get 1/31st of the total vote.

I have little doubt Darvish will be selected from the list of AL players.

Good Points everyone, I always voted as much as I could for the players I wanted in it. And there are no rules against it. The game is supposed to be for the fans so have at it, the only thing that should be done is decouple the hime field advantage in the World Series from the game. Also its a little cheesy how the Giants organization got involved, let the fans do it themselves. Oh I did say above I always voted and vote for the best players, but I have to admit I am BIASED towards the Angels.

Hear is another article about it

First I would like to say that as long as home field advantage in the world series is at stake I personally do not believe the fans should have so much impact on the players included in the all star game. I firmly believe that it should be the actual players and managers that have the most say, particularly in the starters for the AL and NL All Star teams.

I am not saying that fans should have no say at all but the way things are set up right now with so much at stake is in my humble opinion very wrong. Either have the game as a complete exhibition or give each league the capacity to choose the players that they believe give them the best chance to win.

I read somewhere today that the league with the most inter league wins during the season should have home field advantage in the world series. This makes more sense to me than the current way things are decided.

I strongly believe if you want to make this All Star Game decide home field advantage during the world series, our MLB players choices should take priority over fan votes. Fan votes have
a tendancy to make a total mockery of the All Star game. You want it to count then allow our players to choose, exhibition, only, allow the fans to choose. Current way is just bad.

However right now vote for Frieri to be an All Star, DO NOT ALLOW TEXAS TO BEAT US ANGEL FANS ON THIS.

YOU ANGEL FANS WANT TO BEAT TEXAS RIGHT????
THIS IS YOUR ONLY CHANCE AS A FAN. DO NOT WASTE IT......VOTE FRIERI NOW PLEASE.

I believe that I am in complete agreement with you, either have the players and managers vote for the starters for the All Star Game or do not have home field advantage during the world series at stake.

I do not dispute that fans should have a vote, just that their vote should not carry so much weight with so much at stake.

Hovever given the current rules........
Our job right now as Angel fans is to vote as many times as necessary to beat all the fans from other teams, especially Texas. Come on Angel fans vote, we can beat Texas, it is upto us right now. Vote, please.
You cannot seriously just roll over and concede to Texas without trying and expect our Angels to fight to the end?

We Angel fans have the opportunity to get an Angel win right now, do not blow it.
Vote for Ernesto Frieri now and until the very end.
He deserves to b there......VOTE FRIERI.
