Scioscia had to approve this or TR would be gone. Scioscia runs the show. How can anyone not know this?

If Scoiscia runs the show as you suggest, why doesn't he trade Moreno for the Steinbrenners. According to you Scoiscia is at the top of the food chain and everyone else is below him. I respectfully disagree with your assessment. It is not the managers decision weather to extend a GMs contract, it is the ownership that decides that.

Mike Scioscia can't extend Tony Reagins' contract. He can't extend contracts of his players and other coaches. He can't even extend his own contract. Only Arte Moreno (probably) can extend contracts of his employees.
