If you are talking about Adrian Gonzalez with a Z...........why would you bring a such expensive 1B when you have the best future 1B in the league....Kendry hit 30 points better than him...10 more RBI's.....same erors....now....how much are they making...?
this team needs young good Outfielders and a power hitter short stop...or they will be last in the div in 2010...have you all forgotten about the Rangers ...how powerfull they are...they will be the favors by far to win the west.....by far...in 2010

Gonzales outside of Petco would destroy Morales' numbers. Morales can also play a slightly subpar right field if it came down to it.

Morales is a very good 1bmen no doubt but if the option of trading for Gonzales came straight up you do it and don't look twice. Gonzales is a no questions asked #3 hitter while Kendry has never shown the plate patience necessary. RBIs as a stat? Give Gonzales more opportunities and he'll take care of that. Gonzales has 50 HR potential. Morales does not have that.

Gonzalez is so good that if you were to take him out of Petco, and put Morales in RF you would likely see the obliteration of much of the league:

1- Abreu
2- Pettit
3- Gonzalez
4- Morales
5- Hunter
6- Napoli
7- Wood
8- Aybar
9- Kendrick

I don't care what the order is. The jump from the .800 bat of Guerrero to that of the .1050 OPS Gonzalez would be lineup changing. Don't forget that Gonzalez has never had a hitter worth much behind him. If he had Morales batting behind him he might be even better than that. I would say that lineup would be better than even the Yankees' order.

The defense wouldn't be great but it would most certainly work. If you could add a speedy .800 OPS CF and replace Rivera even better. Heck maybe you have one in the minor leagues? Add in Peter Bourjos or Chris Pettit and see how they would do.

No to Gonzales. If the Angels are going to make a big trade, it will be for a starting pitcher.

Can you really ask that question with a straight face?

Mike would do exactly what he'd have done had Tex re-signed with the Angels last year :

1.-DH-Bobby Abreu-(L)
2.-CF-Torii Hunter-(R)
3.-RF-Kendry Morales-(S)
4.-1B-Adrian Gonzalez-(L)
5.-LF-Juan Rivera-(R)
6.--C-Mike Napoli-(R)
7.-3B-Brandon Wood-(R)
8.-2B-Howie Kendrick-(R)
9.-SS-Erick Aybar-(S)

Possibly move Aybar to #1 and then drop Hunter to #5.
