Now for the greatest comeback in W.S. history in an elimination game. Was the Angels at 5 runs, now it will be the Phills down 6.

If the Yanks do win, it will be a real inspirational, feel good, heart warming type victory. NOT

Heard a stat on the radio today, they said the Yankees have spent a BILLION dollars on players since they last won a World Series in 2001.

Cashman has the easiest job in all of sports. "The biggest name free agent out there, offer him the highest amount and sign him."

It sure looks like they will win another WS. But they have proved even with the highest payroll they can't do it every year. It's taken them several years to get another ring.

I hate the Yankee's!

No. When has Arte spent 400 million in one off season?

Without C.C, A.J and Teixeira, the Yankees don't even make the playoffs.

Who's whinning?

I merely stated the Yankees have had the highest payroll in MLB for years and it taken eight years for them to buy another WS. I think it's amusing.

The Yankees haven't signed a free-agent since 2006. Cashman saved it up for this year.

A title is a title, my friend. You still have to play the game on the field to win, and the Yanks did that.

Of course, the Yanks spent wildly for about 9 years before winning this title, and their new stadium was (probably) subsidized heavily by NY taxpayers. Oh well, that's the price you pay.

When the sentence "That's the price you pay." and the WS are the in the same conversation you know somethings wrong.

How much does it cost for BBQ Monkey on your stadium menu for next year? Wipe away the tears and excuses. Today's baseball is full of trades and your owner spends enough to make your statement very strange....

No tears and no whinning here rookie.

And where may I ask is your class?

You're right, Arte will again have a competitive team in 2010. If I were you I shut up and be a bit more humble and act like a champion.
Show some respect for a hard fought post season by the Angels and Phillies.

It's taken your empire eight years to become world champs again. My hats off to the yankees today but 2010 might not be your year.

The Yankees know the Angels will not roll over and they are ALWAYs concerned about playing the Angels.

Geez, what an idiot. . . .
We have no reason to cry, and I didn't see anyone making excuses. . . .

You must think that some of us care that your yankess won the world series - guess what? I didn't even know until this morning. That's how much it didn't mean to me.
