The New York Yankees will give a Fig in 2010 IMO. For the contingent who are waiting for Figgy to re-up in Halo red, this will occur only if the Angels offer NYY type money. The Angels won't. Here will be the scenario in NY; Fig will land the main 3B duties in NY, freeing up ARod to full-time DH. This will greatly reduce the stress on his hip etc and also help prolong his career. ARod is locked up long term in NYY 'stripes and they will look to take care of their investment. Fig will allow them to do this. He'll also provide them another rabbit for the boppers to knock home. Fig can also spell Jeter and Cano to give them days off to remain fresher for the long haul of the season.

LOL if you think A-Rod is going to move to full time DH. If anything, Figgins would move to the OF for NY.

Figgins doesn't strike me as the type to play for NY. If he can't perform for us in the playoffs, what makes you think he can stand the media glare in NY. One bad playoff there, and they'll run him out of town.

Figgy would be a backup player for the Yankees, thats where his salary fits. I mean, 10 million a season? Thats less than half of A-Rod! Haha, Figgy will go to NL or White Sox. And I think the greatest spot for him would be the Padres- large park with not many expectations

Why would the Yankees want Figgy??????

They already pay the highest dollar for a guy who works extremely well for them at the third base position. It wont make sense to pay the money for Figgy only to have A-Roid in the DH position.

They also have a very capable outfield.

There is not a need for Figgy in NY. (Unless A-Roid gets hit in the head in the WS and his brains fall out onto home plate.)

Is this a serious thread?

With alll due respect, what the 'ell would the NYY do with Figgins? Maybe as a utility IF.

Figgins only worth to the NYY would be if you include Lackey.

We will give you Cano for figgy. I thing figgy is better the cano. He is batting 100 in the world series and he does not hustle. Let me know when you want to trade.

Figgy has been a great Angel over the years. It's time to let him go where ever that is.

If the Yankees get him then so be it. Maybe he repalace Johnny Damon?
