I was in NYC shortly after 9-11 and witnessed a person of the Sikh faith berated on the MTA for his religion and ethnicity. He was called a "terrorist" by a group of illiterate thugs who know nothing of religion, politics, and 9-11, itself. This opened my eyes to how idiotic and uninformed Americans can behave in the presence of other Americans.

I keep thinking of that moment as I watch the news coverage. These people were clearly targeted. Reports are this temple had been targeted before. It would not surprise me if far-right xenophobia plays a part in this attack. Esp. knowing the far-right culture of Milwaukee. But I'm hoping I'm wrong.

As far as Sihks are concerned: they are well respected businessmen throughout the area. Besides being successful in business, they have been very generous contributors to many area charities. They are totally peace loving and self sufficient people, who are never involved in community agitating.

I'm just messing with you. I dont have to go any furthur than my neighborhood gas station to see people on welfare trying to game the system. I've had people try and sell their government benefit cards to me, while they're trying to deal drugs. Idiots trying to buy booze with their welfare, when that's a no no
