A couple of days ago I guaranteed somewhere in a different thread that the Jhey kid would have at least 5 rbi this week (by the end of Sunday night).

This is not a thread to brag about my bogus prediction (goodness knows I guess wrong most of the time), but instead to give some credit the Jason and celebrate his good play when many like to bash him.

1 AB, 1 RBI (may have been gift-wrapped, but so what, it gave the Braves the lead and I'm happy to see it).

Hopefully he's finally starting to enter a new hot streak. He's hitting a lot of line drives and some of them were right at people. He got some through the last two games.

I just checked and he has a 3 game hit streak and a hit in 5 of his last 6 games. 7 hits in the last 9.

Just hope he gets something going. It makes the line-up that much stronger.

I've noticed that too. Even when he's made outs in the last couple of games, he's hit the ball hard and I don't think he's had a strikeout in a couple games either which is really nice to see considering the way he was trending not too long ago.

Nope. He didn't strike out in the Nats series, but before that he struck out 2 times each in all 3 of the Cardinals games.

Btw, heck yeah lets count Sunday. After all it was our last game before tonight and Sunday is officially the first day of the week.

So there, 3 RBI so far this week. Looking good...

and a run! I know he hasn't really had much of a chance to run tonight, but when he was stealing a lot early this year, he was also hitting really well and he was electric.

Heyward's first multi-hit game since May 11th. 22 games ago.

Awesome. 3-4 with a double and a walk so on base 4-5 times. Other guys also played great tonight (Uggla, Simmons), but I'm stoked to see this kind of game from Jason.

Jason's last 3 hit game was April 11th at Houston.

Jason has looked so much more comfortable at the plate in the last few games. He looks to have a little of that old swagger back.

Good to see Jason have a great night. That last swing looked a bit compact to me. It was sweet.

Please stop with all this praise and encouragement. You're bringing a lot of the other posters down. (I'm joking, but I think it's actually true for some people.)

As one of the "impatient ones" with Heyward at times, I'm hoping he's starting to "get it together to stay together". This past week has been encouraging though J. Johnson made him look the same a time or two last nite. With Chipper "in & out" constantly, and now Freeman's injury, Heyward needs to step up & be of more help to Bourn, Uggla, McCann, & Prado because others in the order aren't going to add a lot offensively.

The way Jhey gets a post like this reminds me of when my kids came out of the bathroom and mom yelled, "look dad he wiped his butt".
