Let's recap, they hit 3 homers-all solo shots

Get a leadoff double in the 9th can't manufacture a run

Explains why most fans don't see this team doing much this year

Cashman "We're fine. Nothing needs to be done."

What- they began the disintegration in Oakland. ..and you think they were impressive in Seattle winning 2? Evidently Yankee pom pom lovers have now given Granderson a pass for the next month because he hit a grand slam four nights ago. This loss is one a lot of folks, but my top three of the night-

(1) Granderson

(2) Logan

(3) Girardi

This game is 2012, and why fans are not happy with the way it is made up. Forget the record. This team is flawed.

Actually they disintegrated in the last 2 weeks. they have lost 8 of the last 11 games. This is their 4th straight loss, and the gap is now down to 6.5. This team is in trouble, but giradi is too stupid to see it.

The real difference between this bad streak and before is not the hitting but rather the bullpen. But you're right about the offense, it's a home run hitting machine that will always choke in pressure situations, like the playoffs. They couldn't make a productive out, let alone manufacture a run, if the world series depended on it.

If people have no confidence in the team and assume they'll lose if they make the playoffs, why do they keep bothering to watch? Why not just enjoy the rest of your summer and avoid the frustration?

Well dont you worry about that. This team wont even sniff the WS this year.

simple, we are fans, short for fanatic..if it was so easy then it would be no fun, part of being a fanatic is complaining when things aren't going well

Is it not redundant by this point, when the complaining is daily about the same things? And as much as people can complain, it will mean nothing as there won't be changes in players.

Goes a bit further than the last 3 games. Been horrible the last 10 games. Too many losses because of poor pitching and a one dimensional offense I'm afraid.

no more so than the pom-pom wavers going "don't worry, we have a 10, oh 9, oh 8, oh 7, oh 6...." game lead (we've blown 1/3 of that lead in about a week; that IS cause for concern)

You have to look at the season as a marathon and not sets of sprints like this. I simply cannot call doom on this team on July 30th, especially ever since seasons like last year when the most unlikely team won the World Series. Anything can happen come October. All the Yanks have to worry about is getting there and they're still in the best position to do so.

If we win the next 2 games, this'll all be irrelevant as we stay in great shape.

And that is why I CAN'T STAND him. I miss The Boss :-( Cashman would've been canned by now and the Yankees wouldn't be sitting idly behind while Anaheim and other playoff contenders swallow up the biggest names on the trade market for their rotations.

How do you think Dempster would look in the Yankees' rotation? I guy can dream, can't he?

Agreed, Scarlet, and not that this matters, but I feel somewhat bad for Freddy GarcĂa. True, he's no Jered Weaver, but despite all those hits he gave up, at least he only gave up three runs in his start for the second time in as many weeks.

I think that the Yanks will get it together starting tomorrow night.

Los Angeles is supposed to be getting Ryan Dempster, from what I've read.
