...starting for Charlotte today. Donnie Veal (who Hawk says was our most important left-handed rookie in Spring Training) throws two scoreless, 3 K's and no walks, and gets the win.
We've got pitching talent down there.
I think it's okay that they're stretching Santiago out in case we need another starter down the line.
So far Veal has struck out three of the five major league batters he's faced. I hope he gets his chance in the big leagues soon. But Septimo hasn't really has a chance to prove himself yet (too many tight games Robin/Coop have not wanted him in). And then there's Heath. The talent is there - it's just a question of how to manage it.
