I was hoping and expecting for something in the 70-80 million range..

40-42 is a slap in the face.

I like the poster in your avatar.. just swap short and angelos.

It still boggles my mind why a rival team's owner has ANYTHING to do with our revenue stream....!!

Hya ya bum,

I have to admit, I'm not surprised in the least by this revelation, but still equally repulsed by it as being unfair. What else could we expect from the Commish and Angelos? (BIG SIGH)

I tried Googling Sports Business Report as well as every possible combination of keywords that include MASN, Nationals and TV rights, and I didn't find anything.

How long of a contract will it be? 5 years? If its a short term contract i would imagine it going way up with the future we have.

I have a posting prepared re the hypocrisy and lack of integrity in the system for determining the "reset", but I'll wait until the final figures are in (probably August). It's a posting that I'm sure the mods will take down because it won't be very complimentary to your and my favorite commissioner.

As the article stated, Angelos is a shrewd businessman and a visionary. He owned the network out right, and
MLB was forced to negotiate on behalf of the NATIONALS from a position of weakness. Contract language was
drafted, alas....We've come to the rub!

The Lerners and the NATS organization find themselves in a very precarious position legally.
Certainly the recent popularity of the NATS has increased revenue exponentially. Unfortunately, under current terms
and conditions, Angelos and MLB stand to earn the lions share.

I HOPE THE NATS WIN THE 100 MILLION DOLLAR RULING THEY SEEK.
We could use a pitcher and a catcher with power and great glove.

Even more reason to boycott MASN

More reason for any Nats fan never to spend a dime at OPACY

but alas the "Washington" Post will continue to cover---report on--- Angelos team---post his team's stats and records and our "Flagship" radio station will continue to report on the AngelOs

I don't know what local tv stations cover because I have not watched local news in years because of my disgust over their treatment of the Balmer AngelOs as the co-home team

but that is just me

"According to a source close to the negotiations, representatives from the Orioles, including principal owner Peter Angelos, returned from the All-Star Game feeling confident that MLB would adhere to the stipulations in the 2005 agreement. A source close to those 2005 dealings said the agreement specifically required the use of this formula, which MLB has used for more than 15 years when calculating rights fees."

This means nothing, just more leaks from the Os camp.

Angelossux,

YOU ARE SO ON POINT!
I totally agree with you. I don't listen to ORIOLES updates, watch games, go to their stadium...zero.

Cant stand his product!

As for watching MASN....I gotta see my NATS, when not attending games....

There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission. If we wish to make it louder, we will bring up the volume. If we wish to make it softer, we will tune it to a whisper. We will control the horizontal. We will control the vertical. We can roll the image, make it flutter. We can change the focus to a soft blur or sharpen it to crystal clarity. While watching the Natinals on MASN, sit quietly and we will control all that you see and hear. We repeat: there is nothing wrong with your television set. You are about to participate in a great adventure. You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind of Peter Angelos to — The Outer Limits.

One more thing---why would a Nats fan care what an Orioles fan in Hawaii thinks?
