He will not be the starter this year unless RGIII gets hurt.

It's the Redskins. Every starting QB they've annointed over the last 20 years has lost the job to a backup.

Skins last 1st round QB choice, Jason Campbell (whom they also traded away an SUV load of draft picks to get into position to draft) is now the backup to Jay Cutler on the Bears.

You are right, it is the Redskins, so i guess you can never rule anything out. But if you are going to trade up to draft a top notch QB, you are probably going to see him play pretty much every game.

Those are impressive numbers. The question is, is it against the 2nd or even 3rd string (meaning guys who will not make the squad) defense?

He is in a tough situation to become a starter this year, no matter how well he does in pre-season and even practice.

Only ways Cousins will ever be a starting QB in this league and stay one for a long time is if RGIII gets injured or he plays Grossman-like nearly all season.

Cousins comes in and makes an impact........and then the Skins would trade him to a team who would want him as a starter. I'm guessing Minnesota if Ponder underachieves
