It's a shame. He's hit better than Berry has since June 2.

It's a shame?

I'd say a .170 average, 1 HR and 10 RBI is The shame.

Not that he's alone, thiugh.

It's a shame because he's showing signs of life, while a lot of other guys are slowing down. People just don't notice it for some reason.

I believe Raburn is sitting on the corner looking down and watching his career go down the drain.

He may be gone at the All Star break. I don't see any improvement in him at all. He's so bad at the plate that when he gets 1 hit in 6 times at bat his average actually goes up.

Id bet money if he went to another team a real hitting coach could help him..

Raburn is hanging by his fingernails on a ledge 15 stories high. Delmon is on his way out there to try and save him. Call 9-1-1.

i do not care if he goes to another team and hits .400. now, today, as a tiger he is killing us both O and D. he has to be the worst player in the ML when all things are considered.

Let's compare R. Raburn with D. Young:

Ryan Raburn in April .148 BA in 54 AB w/1 RBI ..DYoung .242 in 66 AB w/5 RBI.
Ryan Raburn in April .145 BA in 69 AB w/6 RBI ..DYoung .265 in 98 AB w/14 RBI.
Ryan Raburn in April .321 BA in 28 AB w/1 RBI ..DYoung .286 in 105 AB w/10 RBI.
Ryan Raburn in April .143 BA in 14 AB w/2 RBI ..DYoung .188 in 16 AB w/2 RBI.

Raburn's BA for season is .176 in 165 AB w/10 RBI ..DYoung .263 in 285 AB w/31 RBI.
Raburn's BA for season w/RISP is .190 in 42 AB w/9 RBI ..DYoung .297 in 74 AB w/23 RBI.
Raburn's BA for the season w/2 outs is .086 in 45 AB w/1 RBI ..DYoung .322 in 90 AB w/14 RBI.

I'd say as bad as D. Young has been .. R. Raburn has definitely been worse.

This goes for just about anyone wearing the old English D.

You have a lot of Aprils in there. But I understand. Stinky Ryan.

Looks like you meant April , May, June, July.

Pretty clear quals for Ryan to be batting in the #2 spot!

Don't want a 60 RBI guy with an OBP under .300 and an OPS under .700 batting #5, however.

He only looks OK when compared to Ryan. Unfortunately we don't seem to have a qualified option for the #5.

Thanks for the 'correction'. Yes, April May June July. Thats what I get for shortcutting via copy/paste.

I surely do appreciate the 'baseball intelligence' of those who are able to decipher and understand the point in spite of simple human error.

SMALL SAMPLE SIZE

what has Berry done since June 1st???

I am not a Berry fan but right now he is 10x the player Raburn is.

In 132 ABs he is 5th on the team in runs scored.

Again, as with you, I am still "watching", but guys like him - stealing , taking an extra base, scoring from 1st on a double and 2nd on a single - add runs in a way that make it so comparisons of "other numbers" to Young, Peralta, Avila or Fielder are not giving a full picture.

Sort of like Inge with RBIs.

"what has Berry done since June 1st???"

What I expected him to do. Not much.

"I am not a Berry fan but right now he is 10x the player Raburn is."

My niece if twice the player Raburn is.
