Not one quality start in ten outings. An ERA of around 7? A WHIP of nearly 2. As many walks as innings pitched? More walks than K's? It's time to clean up and get rid of Dirty.

You know I keep hearing how we have to trade someone good to get someone good. Well this is just a good example disproving that. They unloaded Sanchez on us, definitely NOT good, for Melky. Why can't we make a trade like that. Trade Sanchez to some other team for something better?

As I see it, it's not that Glass won't spend enough money, it's just that Moore sometimes makes bad trades or signings that waste the money. I heard Sanchez is getting 6 million per year or something rediculous like that. Does anybody know for sure?

When you make a really big trade, when you get a free agent for a lot of money, when you draft a player high in the draft, mgmt is reluctant to let someone go because they would be admitting they made a big mistake. In this case, particularly since Melky is and was hitting so well.

Of course a few weeks ago we wanted to dump Hoch. Now we don't. Maybe we will change our mind.
The big question is whether Sanchez is making the same mistake over and over like Hoch said he was. And can he change? Or does he just not have the ability?

"Does anybody know for sure?" Thats a good f/cking question. NOBODY KNOWS ANYTHING!!!! Dayton didn't know that Dirty Sanchez would literally sh/t a chicken in the first 3 months, and Nobody knew Melky would hit like freaking Ted Williams.. It's all a wildcard. I swear, this is why girls aren't around baseball.. like a box of rocks.

But Melky was hitting well last year. Sanchez was not pitching well last year. And we are paying him over $5 mil.

Is Sanchez a free agent next year? I think he is.

He did pitch a no hitter in 2009. And pitched well at the end of 2010. But I think he doesn't like it here, I am guessing.

Can we replace him--at least put him in the bullpen?

There is not much in the cupboard for pitching at Omaha. I really don't want to bring Odo up yet.
Teaford has been pitching well with an ERA of just over 1. 36 year old Doug Davis is surprising at 4 and 1 with an ERA of 2.51. He doesn't have speed but is good at locating the ball. Yeah, he has been with 40 teams, but at least he might not embarrass you. Verdugo generally has done well but was beat up his last time. He ruined Doug Davis' shutout.

" But I think he doesn't like it here, I am guessing."

Exactly what I think too judging by what some of the radio talk jock were saying to how he responds to locker room interviews. It sounds like he has an attitude problem to me.

Yost should have pulled Sanchez today when Sanchez refused to cover home and let the 3rd run through. Totally let Sanchez off the hook

There was an article after his trade. He acted like it was fine being a Royal. But he speculated that the Giants might want him back when he becomes a free agent.

Well, not with this kind of pitching.

If he is becoming a free agent, I would put him in the bullpen or dump him.

"Yost should have pulled Sanchez today when Sanchez refused to cover home and let the 3rd run through"

Well, I imagine Sanchez, Yost, along with the rest of the world were....and still are....trying to figure out how in the world that ball ended up fair.
But yes, it's time for Sanchez to land on the DL again - at a minimum.

Put him on the DL, good idea. If they leave him on there long enough they might get insurance to pay his salary.

Sanchez has a beautiful girlfriend. Along with the $5.6 million he is making, he is living the dream!

He's also currently costing himself an insane amount of money in a contract year.

Maybe he doesn't care. With good investment of his money, he never needs to work again.

Also, perhaps he hopes that if he makes the Royals mad enough, he'll be traded to another team that he might like better. He may resent being traded to KC. But doing a lousy job in a contract year is not really very smart, but maybe he's not.

Well, judging by the car Sanchez is famous for driving around in - makes me doubt he's exactly the frugal, smart investment type.
