    • 35 runs surrendered to...The Giants?????

Seriously? The Giants usually don't score 35 runs in 3 weeks let alone 3 games. Can't we just forfeit the rest of the games this season? That goes in the scorebook as a 1-0 loss. Maybe by the end of the season our staff ERA would drop somewhere close to 6.0 by the end of the season. Otherwise, that MLB season record is in the bag.

"that MLB season record is in the bag"

Not even close. It's the worst ERA in the last 6 years, but nowhere near the worst all time.

They averaged less than 2.5 runs for the 8 games before they came to Coors. They nearly averaged that in the first inninng. It's like watching NASCAR waiting for the next wreck, you just can't tuen away. This will take many years to fix ( if they changed management) and I hope you that go to the games think you're getting what you paid for. Don't forget tomorrow is purple Monday.

Actually I think they are well on pace. The worst two season ERA's I can find are: The 1996 Detroit Tigers 6.38 and the 1939 St. Louis Browns 6.01. So the Rox are well on pace to hold the worst staff ERA in at least 73 years and very possibly, EVER.

FYI, the Rox team ERA is currently at 5.5 so they have breathing room, but keep surrendering 10 runs per game and we will get there soon enough.

Nope the worst all time belongs to the 1930 Phillies 1199 runs allowed and a 6.71 ERA.

Yep...I forgot that one...but again, at the rate this team is giving up runs, that isn't unreachable.

The Rockies would have to give up 1262 runs in order to break the 1930 Phillies record because back then they only played 154 games. The Rockies have given up 621 runs so far. It's not going to happen. I predict it will be around 960.

After giving up 35 runs to the Giants in 3 days, all bets are off :D

I'm wondering what the record is for fewest 5 inning starts for a starting staff.

I'll have to fess up, I was all for giving these young studs a chance this year to shine. Maybe they may have, if they'd not have had an ace that lost 40 games over the past two seasons.

It also appears our superb pitching staff has got the Giants going now....15 runs tonight in St. Louis, 7 of them driven in by Scutaro. How many rbi's did he have hear this year lol?
