Hey RSN ...I was inspired by another thread about Ciriaco and decided to start a POSITIVE thread about the good things we've discovered this otherwise dreadful season:

yes there's "Yankee killer" Ciriaco...and of course Middlebrooks....I'll stop there and let others add any good news we can take moving forward into 2013 season....look forward to your list of "bright lights"

The turnaround of Clay Buchholz's season and how he's pitching like an ace right now.

Also, the re-emergence of Big Papi as a terrific offensive force (before he got hurt)

Doubront showing signs that he can be a successful middle of the rotation starter is one of the things that I'm looking forward to seeing more of next year.

Yes Buchs been solid ...carried the club for a spell now...Papi had been awesome (but gotta wonder what injury and rust have done to his swing...also gotta come to terms with him for next year...another contract with the Yanks luring in the window...)

but yeah those are two real good things indeed...

Yep...while doubront has been showing some fatigue of late ...he has had a good season ...and should get better next year with having experienced pitching more innings....nothing beats the joy of discovering a solid left handed starter!!! they are money! (which is why I think -hope- Lester is salvagable as well)

Cheers to the "no Dice K". If he had been in our rotation for most of the season the Red Sox would have another 10 losses to what has already been disasterous year.
