Time , once again, for the usual political kabuki dance at yet another shooting....pols of every stripe express their condolences, extend "thoughts and prayers" and speak of "senseless" killing yadda yadda yadda....but NONE dare confront the NRA and its blood money lobby that has ignorant Americans believing that the constitution somehow gives them a "God-given" right to arm every man, woman and child with assault rifles and bazookas..

The resolution of this madness lies in the text of the Japanese constitution:
The law is simple: "No-one shall possess a fire-arm or fire-arms or a sword or swords."

Japan's crime rate is very low, and its gun crime rate virtually nil. .

a Japanese newspaper reporter writes: "It strikes me as clear that there is a distinct correlation between gun control laws and the rate of violent crime. The fewer the guns, the less the violence."

HMMMM....imagine that?!

As a Boston Patriot..born and bred, I am commited to improving my country ...and that means being open minded enough to learn from other nations who are getting better results ...i.e. Japan on gun violence and All of western Europe on health care...etc.

However YOU should feel free to move ...perhaps to one of those red state 3rd world trailor park "states" like Texas or South Carolina ...should do ya just fine ...youbetcha!

I'd love to attain Canadian citizenship and have acess to universal healthcare -especially when I retire...however the next best thing in the US is Massachusetts healthcare ....again showing the nation how things get done when the GOP isnt running things...

Then let's get this discussion back on topic shall we. All shootings are senseless as you mentioned. If you go on to tighten the restrictions on those looking to obtain their own stash of guns, then that's one thing. However you cannot eliminate the utter stupidity and ignorance some have minus having weapons at their disposal. In tragedies such as this one, the guilty never hesitate to pull out the insanity plea despite knowing dam# good and well right from wrong. Where there's a will there's a way. Take away and/or restrict gun use and the crazies will find alternative means carry out their plans created in their twisted minds.

So the guy is passionate about things. Beats being a sarcastic miserable human being which you excel at.

Approx 5 years ago I started posting on this board and one of the first threads I read was from a young couple from Alabama proudly proclaiming they were RS fans and were very excited to start posting on this board.

The cat pounced and for no reason started to mock them. A few members of her posse joined in ripping these poor people a new one (could have even been you). Then I jumped in an apologized for this rude and uncalled behavior, saying that most RS fans were not like this and they should disregard what they were hearing. They thanked me but as far as I can remember never returned.

Defend her if you must. I am sure she'll allow you to stroke her.

Problem is you can't just get citizenship!
