lucky girl!

excellent.... great time of the year for sure. spring game and before long the early favorites will be in season. we get all kinds of fiddlheads and ramps...some morels if you're lucky. boar really is the best.... beats the heil out of most pork on an easy day. i had a taste of some scottish wooly pig that was pretty delicious itself, much better than what they're selling of the berkshire hog out in many places which in most cases is a mass produced watered down version of good berkshire. they've kinda sullied the name to the point where you see some of the higher end places have moved away from it. there's definitely some good artisan breeds out there and available if you can make a trip to a good farmers market. you're going to get banged in the supermarket for a low grade berkshire you might as well pony up a little more and get better value for your dollar.

moving back to the east end in a couple of weeks so we'll have to meet up for some drinks this summer...

I don't get that Wild Game dinner.........I saw one advertised recently and thought it was a dinner over a Sox/Yankees game or something like that. I thought 'why would anyone want a special dinner for that?'!!!!

Someone give me directions for Braccoli. My mother taught me how to make it many years ago. (She has since passed) I haven't made them in about 30 - 35 years and I have forgotten how. (I do know some of the Ingredients...............but not how much)

I don't think yogurt parfaits would interest me. Now on the other hand, a trip to the local ice cream parlor sounds good.

Do you have a Baskin Robbins?

Nope, and even if we did, I wouldn't go there. I try to support the local place in instances like that. The ice cream parlor in the town I'm living in right now, as well as the one in the town next door, is locally owned and operated. No chains here.

My favorite ice cream in the whole world is BR mint chocolate chip.

Can't find them easily though. All the BR's around here are closing down.

When I was going to Michigan State, there was a Baskin Robins by my apartment complex. I went then, but like I said; given the option, I always support local over the chain.
