Looks like it's time to put X-Paul in Right Field, bench ole Jay! He knows Crusty is going to pencil him every day,so he looks like he could give a hoot whether he hits or fields! When we face lefties play Heisey (dude hustles his hind-end off!). Righties play X-Paul at least you get effort from these 2!

I'm paying more attention to Stubbs. Amazing how he got so hot prior to the trade deadline, then shut down after the deadline. Why not give Paul more bats? Start platooning Stubbs and Bruce more.

Bruce needs a wake up call, this guy has been a huge dissapointment this year. 2012 he was supposed to shine and we need that in the worst way. I'm not sure how you fix him but something drastic has to be done. He is starting to remind me of Dunng. He just doesn't seem to have the fire, no hustle, etc...

Not so sure that I would bench the guy who is leading the team in HR and RBI, not to mention a gold glove caliber outfielder.

I don't if I would say I'm embarrassed with Bruce but definitely disappointed in his performance in the last few at bats. He looks completely lost like its his rookie season and he's still trying to figure out major league picthing for the first time.

Did you see X Paul play LF in a recent game? Guy's LOST. Mediocre bat. Inept Fielder. No HR pop.
No base-stealing threat. All he has is that he's a LH hitter.

Chris Heisey can run circles around XP in OF. Hits as well, or better--with more power. Hustles and is SB threat.

Bruce needs to be platooned alright. But with Heisey. Let Heisey play 2 of 3 series games;Jay 1 of 3 series games.

I still think this was a LaRussa prank. He selected Jay for All Star game. Let him play. So Jay thinks "I Really Am an All Star"! La Russa did that to mess with Bruce's head--and hurt the Reds in 2012.
It apparently worked!

If you Must play X Paul, teach him to substitute for Joey at 1st base. He's a LH guy. Should be able to do it. It's one of the easiest field positions there is. X Paul can rest Joey once per week. And Dusty will still be happy:he has a LH hitter in the line-up(Joey or Xavier) every day.

This Dusty obsession with LH hitters is a form of mental ineptitude--or worse. Dusty seems to think
a LH hitter is More Important than (1) a Reds win, and (2) a guy who can field & run, and (3)
a guy who can do more than hit singles(XPaul). XPaul is a PH--nothing more!

He will take lessons from no one this is the way it is going to be with Bruce. The front office needs to wake up and take the Dugout, This is a better team then what is being shown. But like you said nothing close to the big red machine. Make the move and dispose of some of this that is running the on field play. If most of these posters had been around in the big red machine days they would have seen a ball club. AND A MANAGER.

Paul had 16 steals last season, and only played about half of the games. He already has a few swipes with the Reds as well. He doesn't make a lot of errors, and I've seen the guy display a pretty compact, good swing thus far. Not to say he should start, but I would definitely rotate him into LF, CF or even RF a couple times a week.

Paul needs to be the 4th OF, Heisey hasn't hit for power this year, he doesn't SB, and he's scary to say the least in the OF.

I agree completely.
Today ballplayers are divas 75 & 76 BRM everybody played everyday same starting 8 day in & day out.
Who ever heard of rookies needing a day off they have worked their butts off to get here and just as soon the start getting some regular playing time Dusty will take them out of the lineup. A few days ago Heisey then Ludwick & Frazier-- (add name here) get 3 hits on in a game. Then the next day out of the line up. GO FIGURE DUSTY trying to get the right pitching match ups everyday. I say play the hot hand everyday. WINNING ( CHARLIE SHEEN SAY IT BEST) is the only thing not egos.

Pete was the only player to play all 162 games, no one else even played 150.

I don't know anyone else on this site but I am a die hard Cincinnati Red fan. I live in Florida and have to watch ever game on my lap top (MLB.com) so don't talk about anyone hating the REDS. How many players on this year team will play a 150 or more games? Or even a better question how many players in MLB will play over 150 games this year?

My new one is an actual image of our brave young President's academic records, or at least what we have of them. What's interesting about it?
