I can't stand these mediocre piece of (s)hits that we have on our bench. Baker pinch hits for Mesoraco so he has to bring in Hanigan anyways. instead of of hitting Hanigan for the pitcher he sends up Valdez, so What does Valdez do he swings at the first pitch against a pitcher who walks the house every appearance. Cairo might be even a bigger piece of (s)hit then Valdez who can't even get a ball pass the pitcher. Rolen and Heisey on the Bench but I'm sure Valdez needs the at bats to stay fresh

Valdez, Greene, Edgar Retentia, or Cory Patterson Dusty always has to have a old veteran he is going help get back to their glory days and they continue to S@@K but he keeeps sending out there. With no real leadoff or cleanup batter in our lineup this will continually bite us in the Behind.

Don't spare Walt in the blame game. Dusty has to run out what Walt gives him. And the Reds were dead silent when we begged him for a lead-off hitter....

Im surprised he does not send for his buddy willie Harris.Cairo and Valdez are probably shocked to be receiving playing time.I would take LaRussa right now. His shuttling in guys has put this team out of wack. Nice job leaving Leake in there in the 6th so they could tie the score. As i said you cannot put Ondrusek, Arrendondo, or Bray in any meaningful situations.

I have never seen a team of ballplayers that the MANAGER believe need so many days off. Seem like everytime someone get hot at the plate Dusty thinks its time to give them a rest. Not that was the problem tonight I think Jay & Ryan were 1-8 tonight in the middle of the lineup.

Always supported Walt and I do think he is a good GM all in all, but you are right Dusty plays the hand he is dealt. I know some seem to think Dusty makes all the personal decisions but he is just the manager and plays who is on the roster, cant fault him for having scrubs do deal with.

you'd know more about the game if you watched it instead of misreading the boxscore

Because Catchers CAN'T hit. It's why they hit 8th and don't pinch hit. It's my BIGGEST complaint with this manager.

If Hanigan would bat leadoff in Cozart's place, he would have gotten on base 35 MORE times than Cozart has this season based on his career .367 OBP. That's THIRTY-FIVE more opportunities for runs to be produced from Stubbs and Votto.

But.....Catchers bat 8th, that's the stereotype. They just s*ck at hitting regardless of what they actually do at the plate.

The stereotype that kills Hani at leadoff is speed at the top of the lineup more than anything. I personnaly am not a fan of Hani at leadoff but I understand your point.
