Did anyone else notice our magic number went down by one last night with teams chasing us? Pitt, SL, Atl, LA.

As I've said many times, you know the Reds have a good team when the fans are whining. Cincinnati fans complain more when they have a winner than when they have a loser.

That's why losing has almost become preferred for sports teams in the area. That's also how the Cubes became the Cubes.

The fans of Cincinnati are going to ruin this franchise just like they ruined the Bengals.

We have a great team. My only concern is that the pitchers haven't had the extra days of rest that the position players have.

Mike Brown owns the Bengals but I do not think he is a fan.

No panic here...yes we have a good team, but are still missing oh so much. I think everyone is crazy to think we will go anywhere in the playoffs...if we do make it. But yes it sure has been an awesome ride to enjoy and I appreciate that. But let us please be realistic here gang

I think it's way too early to determine the reds fate in the playoffs....We had people talking about going to the WS during the recent 10 game win streak...Why?? Well, you win 10 in a row minus your best player and the best in the NL and propel yourself to the best record in MLB, and it paints a pretty good picture..Let's at least let Votto get back and see if the guys that picked up the slack those 20 plus games continue to or fall back in the "go pick us up Joey" mode, waiting on him to always come through...
We just got much stronger on the back end and middle relief so that is absolutely HUGE going forward.......

I hope the Reds' players have less "quit" in them than the Reds' fans.

"Well, we have no hope so there's no point in going on."

So, assuming they make the playoffs, you won't be watching? I bet you think there's at least a little chance they can win.

the team that gets hot at the right time, wins post season, we have seen that in recent years. Look at the surprise teams that win each year recently. I predict the Reds get to post season, from there who knows???LOL

No doubt...Look at Giants 2 years ago...2 excellent starters, a couple other good ones, played great D, clicked, and had a couple marginal players in Edgar and Cody Ross get hot at the right time..

The national League is really weak this year gary. Do I think the Reds can get to a World Series? Sure, Why not. Do I think this Reds team can win a World Series? probably not,but I'll be cheering them on till the bitter end

What is it Jeter said, something like "The best team wins the regular season, the lucky team wins in the post season."

We already know we're lucky, so I have to like our chances.

can't argue with that!

Having said that, I still think AL is the far suprior league, without a couple extraordinary performances and a little bit of a choke job by the rangers the AL would have won the World Series the last two years(not even to mention the laughable All-star game decided home field Rangers should have had last year, GEE do I sound like a Red fan whos bitter the Turdinals won the World Series last year?).

Sure the Reds can win a WS...it's all about being hot in the post season and they have proven that they have what it takes to get hot! Enjoy the ride a lil, it's actually been a fun one!!!

The Cardinals turn around for that length of time was stunning and rarely happens. but it did. The Rangers should have won it for sure, but they didn't. So it became woulda, coulda, shoulda for them again. There is no guarantee the Rangers even get back for a third straight time. If I had to pick a WS from the AL, I would pick Detroit. No picks on the NL for obvious reasons. LOL no jinx coming from me.

Detroit is really struggling through reg. season but your right, head to head in a playoff series Detroit is a beast. We found out when we played them.
