I never cheer for Reds players to do poorly, even if I've made some kind of stupid prediction. What's better...a Reds win, or being right about something trivial? Obviously the former.

What i saw last week was the starters feeding off each other, those are great signs, like Chris Welsh says, momentum is your next day's pitcher

Latos is having rough start but he's pulled it together for some key and important games, I am looking forward to a solid 2nd half from Mat. As far as Leake goes, In my opinion I would replace Homer before I replaced Leake

I find it funny how so many posters wanted Leake sent down. And where is he now? Right where he ended last season - OUR #2 STARTER in terms of ERA.

Leake>Bailey and has been for all 3 of his years in MLB.

Not only that, earlier we had posters saying we should include Leake in trade talks. I said it then, and I'll say it now. Trading Leake would be the second dumbest trade I remember the Reds making.

I felt the same way. I knew he would come around 1 way or another. My guess was he was close to being demoted and knew he needed to get it together very quickly. He is a lot like Bronson is if the movement is not there and his pitches are finding to much of the plate he will get rocked. For whatever reason it was not working early on, but thankfully he has found his groove. He is a grinder and competitor alot like Bronson is, and barring injury he should have a nice long career. While he will never be a ace of a staff he is very valuable to the rotation and future of the Reds. His bat is nice to have as well. Some of are hitters could learn a thing or 2 from him, which is kind of sad,lol.
