Combination of both....The Jays are going through what the Rays have been through all season.....Key players out and on the DL....Right now they have 4 regulars on the DL, a starting staff that has hit a wall and a revamped bullpen that is showing some promise.....They are doing the fill in role with triple A players just like we have been doing.......
On the other hand the Rays pitching has been outstanding, starters ERA since the AS break at 1.77 and the bullpen at .064.......The return of Longo, even though he hasn't been sharp, has changed the energy level for the better......This Rays team could very easily get on a good roll right now!
