Well since you only give us option out of those two I would pick Ross. I know a lot of people won't agree with me but I rather get Carlos Quentin. (not sure on spelling) The reason I take Ross is the length of the deal. I wouldn't count on us not making a move in a trade and just bring up Marte. He starting to look like he did in spring training.

Man, I dont know. I want the team to win it this year. But with Soriano you still have him for 2 more years after this and what are you going to get ?

The other option in Ross is that he bring comparable production and a shorter term. But that means you have to address the position again in the offseason.

I guess it comes down to what the Pirates really think of Presley and Tabata. If they think that one of them will eventually figure it out then you go with Ross. If they don't think that either of them will then you go with Soriano and Marte for the next couple years.

I had a weird dream where the Pirates landed Carlos Gonzalez for a package of like 4 prospects, but then woke up to the cold reality where we will have to settle for Cody Ross, Bryan LaHair, or Seth Smith. I don't want Soriano or Ross...or any of those other guys really.

I'm sure someone has numbers that "prove" Ross is better then platooning Garrett Jones and other outfielders on the team...but still not exciting in the slightest to me

Tabatas contract is movable. There always someone out there that thinks they can "fix" a guy. Truth be told maybe Tabata needs a change. WE dont' know what goes on behind closed doors but you hear more from the coaching staff about TAbata than we've ever heard about any other player.

Maybe something else is going on.

Actually the number of players "diognosed" with ADD now that there is testing has skyrocketed. Why? Ritalin acts as an "upper."
