Ability has never been the question with Cedeno, and the main reason Barmas is here is because he's not Ronny Cedeno.

There is something caustic in an organization that tolerates a less than complete commitment and/or inattention to detail. Not in a day or a week, but over the course of a season it ends up affecting others on the team. Prior to this year, Barmas' stats would have been comparable to Cedeno. What is not comparable is the work ethic and the intelligence.

That's why Cedeno is gone, and that's why Tabata should be as good as gone.
