Lehigh Sunday: 4-1 loss today.
Rosenberg started and pitched 5 innings of 1 hit ball for the Pigs. Problem is Buffalo's pitcher matched him .6th inning, Rosenberg tired ,and was betrayed by an error as well. 2/3 of an inning later, it was 4-0 Buffalo. He was left in way too long IMO.
Pigs only had two hits .Gillies scored after getting a walk and when running with two outs, scored from 1st on an error.
Diekman pitched 2/3 of an inning, 0 ER.
Nothing else of note to report.

I don't know if it was mentioned earlier, but apparently Pettibone is being called up to the Phillies to replace Lannan when he's on the DL. I just looked and saw it in the link below. It's not really any surprising news, as Pettibone is an alright prospect and is pretty close to the MLB anyways, so it makes sense.

Nice opposite field double for Cody Asche in his first at-bat. It's good to see him heating up. After a slow start this season at Triple-A Lehigh Valley, he's been on a hot streak this past week hitting .417.

I'm still not totally sold on him being ready for the everyday 3B job for the Phillies next year though. I think I'd like to see Michael Young re-signed for a year as some infield insurance just in case.

I'd wait to see where Young's numbers, offensive and defensively, are at the end of the season.

Lakewood Blue Claws so far in April are 5 - 13 with the poorest record in their league. All games at home have been in colder than normal temps. Here's hoping that as the weather warms up, so do the wins. Still lots of fun here Down the Shore.

Delmon Young is in right and batting fourth for Clearwater tonight. Chooch will probably be playing in games this week. I believe he is allowed to participate in five minor league games before returning.

Biddle goes for Reading tonight and it's available on MiLB.TV if you're interested.

Evidently, Cameron Perkins just completely laid out for a catch that took away a bases loaded hit. I believe he has a nine game hitting streak going but it may be up to ten by now.

First time I've seen Biddle. He makes Cliff Lee look like he's taking his time out there. Struck out the side in the first. Maybe took about three or four seconds in between pitches.

How bout JC Ramirez doing well with LV. With BP spots expendable (Durbin Valdes Horst) he looks like a contender to be called up soon.

Six strikeouts, one groundout, two flyouts for Biddle through three. He made one mistake but the park held it.

Biddle now through four innings. Nine strikeouts. Just struck out the side for the second time in the game.

And Biddle has hit 2 doubles in 2 at-bats. Not too bad of a night for him on both sides.
